Have you ever seen a better two-car garage? It's hard to top this lineup in the Pall Mall Rotunda.

We had a fantastic night last night at the Motor Racing Legends awards, and our 40th anniversary celebrations. Congratulations to all the winners!

We also celebrated a couple of special people as they move on. Everyone extends their thanks and warmest wishes to Duncan and Phillipa Wiltshire, who have stepped down from leading the organisation. Shaun Lynn made a special presentation for them on the night, as he takes over at the helm.

🎅 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 🎅

Motor Racing Legends is pleased to wrap up the year with the news that one of the world's most famous historic vehicles will join in 2025, as Santa Claus will bring his 9BRP (Brake Reindeer Power) sleigh to the grid. The entry, prepared by Elf Team Lapland, is the northern nation’s first in historic racing, and presents a hugely exciting prospect for spectators and competitors alike.

Claus will initially enter in Pre-War Sports Cars, but is looking to drum up interest for a potential specific animal-driven category in future. Racing in the reindeer-powered machines, better known as “sleighing”, has been associated with drag racing for some time, but Claus is hoping to bring his “Ho! Ho! Ho!” to a new audience in the coming years. Mrs Claus was unavailable to comment.

“When the lights go out, it’s Ho! Ho! Ho!” remarked Claus at the unveiling of the programme. “I have some time off between December 26th and December 24th so I can fit the motor racing around my work life very well. I’ve been looking for a new challenge and this is perfect.”

"It will be hard to scrutineer this entry, especially with the varied performance of reindeer, but we've got the team to do it properly," says Pierre-Antoine Lecoutour, CEO of Motor Racing Legends. "Claus is a great addition to our grids and I'm sure he'll be competitive immediately. If he's too competitive, BoP (Balance of Presents) is something we will look at using to ensure a level playing field.

“On top of this, we have to be mindful of balancing the authenticity and experience for Claus and his animals with the need to keep them, and other competitors, safe on track. We’ll be working closely with our technical partners to come up with the best solution for this unique vehicle."

We’re partnering with Supercar Driver in 2025. That means spectacular road cars in Motor Racing Legends paddocks, and spectacular racing cars at Supercar Driver meets.

Each organisation is opening its doors and welcoming the other to events in the coming year, with a unique opportunity to mix communities and create something new. It’s a chance to go beyond static car displays, and offer truly unforgettable experiences to owners, drivers and fans.

Specific event announcements will come soon, but rest assured: this is one to be excited about.

Every day is a good day to post Jaguar D-Type photos, isn't it?

Here's one entered in the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy, showcasing the gorgeous Malcolm Sayer-penned curves in the pitlane at Silverstone.

There's something about a classic, analogue car on 35mm film that just feels right.

The chequered flag has fallen on the final race of the Silverstone weekend, and the final race of the 2024 season - the Woodcote Trophy and Stirling Moss Trophy.

Taking the outright race win and victory in the Stirling Moss Trophy was the Lister Jaguar Knobbly of Spiers/Greensall, crowing a busy afternoon for the pair who are competing in every race this afternoon.

Ben Eastick took a magnificent victory in the Woodcote Trophy, steering the Jaguar D-Type through the treacherous conditions for a popular win.

An almighty downpour as the green flag flew set the tone for this afternoon’s Pre ‘63 GT race, and while the rain kept away for the majority of the race, the sodden track never dried.

It was a fierce battle at the front between the Cobras of Spiers/Greensall and Fisken/Blakeney-Edwards and the E-Type of Howard Spooner, but after an hour of racing, it was Spiers/Greensall Cobra that took the win.

The 1950s sports cars of the Stirling Moss Trophy and Woodcote Trophy are always a favourite, and the big power/narrow tyre combination made for an especially exciting qualifying session on the damp Silverstone circuit.

The Jarvis/Malvern Lister Costin Chevrolet will start from pole in the Stirling Moss Trophy, and in the Woodcote Trophy, the Eastick Jaguar D-Type was fastest.

This afternoon’s hourlong race will conclude the 2024 Motor Racing Legends season - a fitting finish!

Qualifying for Pre ‘63 GT kicked off the final day of our Silverstone weekend, with yesterday’s warm sunshine replied by the winds of Storm Ashley.

Howard Spooner diced with the damp track to go fastest in the E-Type and claim pole, ahead of the Cobras of Fisken/Blakeney-Edwards and Spiers/Greensall.

Pre ‘63 GT is first up after lunch, with a one-hour race.

We ended our first day at Silverstone under a hazy golden sunset, as the three-hour Pall Mall Cup concluded with a wonderful prizegiving and party at Clubhouse.

After a tight battle at the front, the Barton/Reuben TVR Griffith took the win, beating home the Elans of Littlejohn/Evans and Lynn/Lynn.

We are back at Silverstone today for our final day of the year, and are on track with qualifying for Pre ‘63 GT at 930am.

American iron came to the fore in the first ever race at Silverstone, with the Holme/Jordan Corvette beating a host of exotic machinery home to be our first race winner!

In second was the Tetley/Maton Gallardo GT3, ahead of the Oeynhausen-Sierstorpff Audi R8.

Congratulations to all involved in building such a strong grid for this historic first race, the start of an exciting new chapter for Motor Racing Legends and these brilliant GT3 cars.
