SHOULD THE BATTLE OF FALKIRK 1298 EVENT CONTINUE?

We think Falkirk’s Heritage is under utilised and its wealth should be better promoted
For nearly two decades we have hosted an event around the Memorial cairn at Callendar Park
Since 2017 we have tried to raise and grow the event, to make it the biggest annual medieval festival in Scotland highlighting the importance and pivotal story behind The Battle as well as honouring the determination and dedication

Our fact based research determines there is a huge case for the event

Visit Scotland stats 70% of long Haul visitors quote Bravehearts Wallace as a reason for visiting

The Wallace monument records 100k plus visitors a year

There is a hunger for the Wallace story a huge part of this story was played out in Falkirk.

With support and investment this could boost the local economy and bring attention and visitors into the town centre

With Great attractions like The Kelpies , The Falkirk Wheel, Rosebank Whisky it's a great opportunity to build upon this success and bring this attention into the centre of Falkirk

We think the event has the potential to be a hugely successful as events such as The Battle of Evesham in England
