Fantastic day offshore today with regular client Taco. Fishing was fairly slow due to the glass conditions but we'll take that over the recent winds 🙄 dolphins, sharks, seals and sunfish all drawn to the chum slick so plenty to keep us occupied. 2 fish landed, first one around 45lb and the second one pushing 120lb 👊✌️

Great company with Taco who chartered the boat privately to himself, good chat and laughs all day. See you in 2 weeks time matey 👍

Great trip today, out on the sharks 🦈 with james and Brodie. Brodie was pretty excited to hook his first ever blue 🙂 a few sharks circling the boat just a few feet away which is always a treat to see. 3 sharks landed between 80lb and 40lb and 1 hook pull after a 20 minute battle. Looking forward to a great season on the sharks, if you want to hook up just pm me for details ✌️

Day 3 with Nick and Lin, started off slow, chasing birds inshore, not much doing so we hit the wrecks... never in any doubt these two would deliver 🎣
Some decent po***ck smashing the live baits and this cracking ling taken on light gear 😃

In 3 trips they have had 3 personal bests, really really chuffed for them. Great anglers and good company.

Second trip out with Nick and Lin, fishing was not easy by any stretch of the imagination. We all had to work really hard for each bite, different spots, different rigs, techniques, live baits and every lure in the box! Finished up with bass, po***ck, mackerel, a couple of fish for the table including this stunning john dory. 2 very experienced anglers who have fished all over the world, good skills 👏

Managed to get in a 3 hour reccy out to the reef in preparation for next weeks guests to see how it's fishing. Hardly any fish showing on the sonar but eventually found a very tightly packed shoal of fish holding 10 yards off the back of the exposed pinnacles. Just to prove the point I set my good lady up on a tiny 1.5" redgill on a 1oz bullet lead on a 3 foot trace, fished on a 50g lure rod. I fished a conventional 60g lure. 3 very short drifts against the pinnacle, I didn't have a touch but she landed this stunning kelp coloured po***ck, probably getting close to 10lb. A quick photo then safely returned to fight another day 🙂

The last few trips I'm finding these tiny lures are outfishing everything else 10 to 1 due to the abundance of tiny bait fish out there.

Once again she has put another fantastic fish on the boat 😁 🎣

Sharks last week, Gilts this week... variety is the spice of life they say. Nick and Lin booked their block of charters with me almost 12 months ago so it was great to finally meet them 🙂 with the weather being as it is i decided enlist neil for his bream fishing expertise and it payed off, a first Gilthead bream for Lin in some amazing scenery 😀

Hopefully taking them out on the reefs next week once the wind settles a bit.
