Eva’s handmade silver designs explore texture and structure; they are inspired by the essential qualities, the innate disposition and the repetitive patterns of nature. She finds balance and comfort in wearing jewellery inspired by nature; a strong reminder of what is real and beautiful. Eva also provides a bespoke service alongside her own range for private clients who wish to wear or give someth
ing very personal. From Eva’s experience people want to wear and own unusual, unique things that express individuality. In her online shop and her commissions’ page you will see varieties of cufflinks, charms, rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants, keyrings, collar stiffeners, tie pins and hair slides amongst others. Eva was born in Surrey and moved to France with her family when she was 4 years old. From a very early age she was encouraged to express her creative side. Instead, making cards, baking, gardening and caring for animals were strongly encouraged in the Roberts’ household. This helped her develop a desire to create new and personal gifts as well as a love for all things natural and a deep sense of respect and appreciation for all living creatures. She wore her homemade creations to school where her friends recognised her talents and jumped at the opportunity of commissioning her to create some jewellery for them. Creative possibilities were limited in rural southern France. Her aspirations brought her back to England at the age of 18, back to her roots, but this time sadly without her loving family. She studied Metalwork and Jewellery Design at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham and graduated in 2008. After a period of working in other industries and gaining vital business skills alongside the developed knowledge and insight into exciting techniques she acquired from UCA, she set up a business of her own.
