Direct Access to The South Downs for walking and cycling and set in a village with 4 pubs. We are a family run business. We have approximately 30 racehorses in training , the majority are National Hunt Racehorses and we have a handful of flat horse. The Downs Holiday lets are situated in the heart of our historic National Hunt Racing Yard in Findon Village. The building was formerly the stable lad

s canteen and now has been converted in to two beautiful self-catering holiday lets. These holiday lets will suit people who love the countryside and animals. The racing yard starts at 6.30am every morning so you will start to hear hoof steps around 7.30 throughout the season. We have 8 full time staff and 8 part time staff. If you would like a tour of the yard and to see the horses on the gallops then that can be arranged depending on Nicks availability . We are ideally situated and within a few meters you are walking straight on to The South Downs National Park or cycling. If you walk to the bottom of the hill then you have access to four pubs, a fine dining restaurant , an Indian restaurant , a butchers, a post office/village shop and a cafe. As well as a regular bus service to Worthing and surrounding villages. Brighton is 12 miles away and Goodwood Racecourse is 15 miles away. Fontwell Racecourse is 11 miles away. There is parking right outside and each holiday let and a private patio area and BBQ. One well behaved SMALL dog may be allowed by prior arrangement and additional cost (£30) . •

Are you aware of the Highway code changes. When you see a horse on a road, you should slow down to a maximum of 10 mph. Be patient, do not sound your horn or rev your engine. When safe to do so, pass wide and slow, allowing at least 2 metres of space.

Adults only , each POD sleeps two and just opposite is a huge kitchen and bathroom with bath shower and two loos.

Take a 5 minute walk in to the centre of the village and you will find a Post Office with home made bread and pastries every morning, a butchers with local produce, a fine dining restaurant , 4 pubs, a curry house and a cafe.

5 miles from the beach, Diret Access to the South Downs, great for walkers and cyclists. 20 mins Brighton and Chichester.

Jockeys in to school our horses on a beautiful Autumnal morning . If you choose to stay in “ Aldaniti” it has a log burner for toasty warm evenings . Both holiday let’s have bathrooms with a shower/ bath and underfloor heating . Lovely after a days walking on the downs .

A successful first opening month for The Downs Stables Holidays. We have pretty much been fully booked for all of August and have bookings through to the end of September. We have guests from as far as the USA. Great reviews left on Air BNB and in our little guest book. We look forward to welcoming more guests and them enjoying beautiful West Sussex. We are finding our feet in this very new part of our business .
