We are a beautiful farm based outside Forfar in the stunning Angus countryside, but we are a farm with a difference! We have a wonderful Deer Park which provides the most delicious venison. Venison is incredibly healthy as it is naturally low in fat, high in protein , Iron and Omega 3s. We offer all cuts of Venison including diced venison for casseroles, haunches, loins, steaks, mince and of cour

🍽️ 🎄 AN ANGUS CHRISTMAS DINNER 🎄🍽️

What’s on the menu for Christmas Dinner this year?

🦃 Have you got your order in with your local butcher? We are spoilt for choice here in Angus with a good selection of local butchers, many offering pre-orders for turkey & trimmings. Or why not think about adding sustainable venison to the menu, from Pitscandly Farm or Framedrum Venison.

💚 Love them or loathe them, Christmas dinner isn’t complete without a few brussel sprouts with growers like Seahills Farm offering fresh sprouts for collection from their Arbroath pack house.

🐟 🧀 A fish course is always a nice addition to the menu, or add some delicious Smokie pate to your cheeseboard. Check out the many fish mongers dotted about the harbour area in Arbroath, and while you are there pop up to Smithies Deli & Gin Emporium to stock up on tasty cheeses!

🍨 There’s always space for a little bit of pudding! Check out the local bakers for ideas, JM Bakery offer a pre-order on cheesecakes and gateaux, or Artisana - Exquisitely Decadent Brownies have stunning brownie trees available for collection on the 23rd December.

🥃 With several distilleries, cider makers and breweries dotted about our county we are spoilt for choice when it comes to festive tipples. Replace your usual festive fizz with a glass of Lost Orchards cider, who also have a non-alcoholic version. Shake up some Christmas cocktails with products from our Angus Spirit Trail members or aid your Christmas digestion with a healing tipple from the clever folk at Sour Power Vinegars

☕️ No dinner is complete without a lovely coffee to round off the meal. We have fantastic coffee roasters here in Angus, check out Sacred Grounds Coffee Company’s new festive blend or grab some beans from Brechin’s Maison Dieu Coffee Roasters. Room for a little chocolate? Chocolatia have beautiful handmade chocolates which will be the talking point of any Christmas celebration, or make a perfect gift for your hardworking hosts!

Our Story

We offer all cuts of Venison including diced venison for casseroles, haunches, loins, steaks, mince and of course sausages. We can supply Venison for individuals, caterers and specific events. We can post Venison all over the UK in environmentally friendly packaging.

Pitscandly House itself is a charming 18th Century Category A listed country house located 2 miles from Forfar in rural Angus. It is set in beautiful grounds with a 2 1/2 acre walled garden and policy park. We have two beautiful self catering suites available to rent.

The Garden Suite is a pretty one bedroom apartment situated on the first floor with a short flight of steps to the entrance from the beautiful sunken courtyard. It has twin beds, a large sitting room with TV and dining area, new bathroom with bath and over shower and a well equipped kitchen. It has pretty views of the garden.
