Lovely pics of the Mallaig area...

Have you visited the Arisaig and Mallaig area in north west Scotland?

I was there yesterday for a day trip, but also to take part in the most scenic 10k run.

The Road to the Isles 10k is a hilly beautiful route starting at Traigh Beach in Arisaig, passing the white sands of Morar, through Morar village and onwards to Mallaig. You can also take part in a 5k, half marathon or a half marathon walk called Walk on the Wildside.

I was much slower than last year as I've been struggling a bit with energy, but really enjoyed taking my time on a beautiful sunny day in a stunning part of Scotland.

There was free paella at the finish line that I was excited to try. Yes ... I was running for the paella 🤣 This was first time I'd ever tried prawns and langoustine in full body armour ... "how do you eat this?" I asked a fellow runner 🤔

Then I enjoyed a wee visit to Camusdarach's white sandy beach and a quick stop off at Glencoe on the way home😍
