✨Introducing Understory Chocolate, our main hot chocolate powder used at The Wildcat.
Understory chocolate is a new micro-business based here in Fort William which blends three delicious, organic ingredients: raw cacao powder, coconut palm sugar and sea salt. The cacao powder is made from criollo beans, prized for their delicious flavour; it's grown in South America in agro-forestry farms where biodiversity is encouraged and the farmers are well paid and given wider economic, educational and health support.
With ethics underpinning the business, you can simply sit back and enjoy the tasty beverage, particularly perfect on these wintery days. ✨

🎺 CLOSED TOMORROW Saturday 28.09.24. 🎺

We have been working hard all summer to supply our lovely customers with excellent coffee and yummy vegan goodies, so now it’s time for us to celebrate the end of the busy season as a team! Instead of working, we’ll be having fun in Kinlochleven doing Via Ferrata and later have a wee staff lock-in to catch up with each other - not easy to do when there’s a constant queue out the door every day! We want to say a massive thanks to all the amazing humans (and doggos) coming in through our door to support us! And tomorrow we’ll be thanking each other for support and kindness during the busiest of shifts. 🦆We couldn’t have done it without each other! ❤️

We’ll be back open on Sunday as usual (most probably that is - let’s see how the staff lock-in goes 😃)

Its managed not to rain long enough to tidy up the garden. Also, its 1st September today and we can recommence hedge cutting after nesting season.

Cuckoo flowers all over the garden I'm allowing them to flower before cutting to encourage insect life and pollination.

Another new shower, thanks to Morrison Plumbing & Heating Engineers. I have to say I would prefer if Mira Showers electric showers lasted slightly longer than the 2 year warranty period, especially as this is the top of the range product.
