Join us for our very first Breeze ride of 2025!

This is a moderate 7.2 mile tarmac route, following an on-road section through Galashiels town centre before rounding Gala Hill. Route follows quiet road to the Old Tweed Bridge where the River Tweed and Ettrick Water meet at the old Tweed Bridge. Returning alongside the Tweed and Gala Water.

Meet at the Hike & Bike Hub at 10am on Friday 17th January for a departure time of 1015. Register using the link below.

Save the date! Galashiels Spring Walking Festival will start with one evening walk on Thursday 24 April, followed by a range of walks on Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 April. Routes and details are being finalised. Tickets are expected to be available for booking from early March. Keep an eye out here for more details!

We are offering FREE day hires on any of our fleet bikes and trikes until Friday 17th January, including e-bikes, supported by Paths for All.

Wednesday-Friday - FREE 1 DAY BIKE HIRE. Contact us to get yours booked!

Thursday-Saturday - our bike mechanic, George, will be in for any repair or service enquiries.
Thursday - Bike Skills Session with George 2-4pm.

Friday* - Angela is confident our first Breeze Ride of 2025 will go ahead this week - route details, departure time and link to register will follow.

Saturday* - Thanks to funding from Paths for All we are able to continue to offer Winter Warmer Walks throughout January. This week will take us out to Gunknowe Loch in Tweedbank before ending at Quins of Galashiels for a warm bowl of soup. Spaces are limited so please contact us directly to book your place.
Saturday - Bike Skills Session with George 2-4pm.

Sunday* - due to the weather forecast looking mild, George is hoping to do a led cycle out to Selkirk and back, keep an eye on our Facebook for updates.

A few pics from our Winter Warmer walk today. Having been cold overnight, it was a bit chilly but we didn't really notice it with all the different chats going as we made our way through the Policies to Victoria Park and then to Cafe ReCharge CIC for a lovely bowl of soup (or pancakes!) and a hot drink. These walks are supported by Paths for All Thanks everyone for an enjoyable morning - hope to see you all next week!🚶🏁❤️

George will be running sessions between 2-4pm on the following dates:

Open to all, under 16's must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Spaces are limited to 4 people per session so booking is very much advised.

We're back! We hope that everyone enjoyed the festive period and are ready to tackle 2025 head-on!

Friday* - Angela had planned on leading our very first Breeze ride of the year....however, with ground temperatures forecast to be -4°, this is unlikely to go ahead this week. Hopefully next week it will be a few degrees warmer!

Yesterday was the final 2024 Teaching Tuesday for George at Galashiels Academy. Well done to all the pupils on their progress so far! Today we are open until midday. We are closed this afternoon.
We will be open from 10am tomorrow and Friday 20th for any last minute help that Santa and the elves might need with bike builds!
