Wheels of Fleet

This new bicycle project based at the Mill on the Fleet in Gatehouse, aims to encourage more people to use the bike for journeys, enjoying all the benefits that go with it. With successful funding applications from Cycling Scotland and Cycling UK, we are organising bike maintenance workshops,( just now Monday afternoons, 2 - 6pm), led bike rides and riding lessons. This area is very popular for cy

cling tourism thanks to the stunning environment,being on the National Cycle Network number 7 route, and ofcourse the many off road locations.We are designing maps that will display routes around the area, looking at hiring out bikes in the long term, and also hosting bike social evenings, with invited speakers and films to share from far and wide.
