We are pleased to announce that Heather Matthews has been appointed as the new Chair of The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice. In her new role, Heather will provide leadership and guidance to the Board of Trustees and its committees.

Heather said: "The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is an organisation which my family has supported for as long as I can remember. I was raised to understand the importance of service, to your community and to those around you, and to be asked to step into the role of Chair is a genuine honour. I will do my utmost to continue the legacy of the previous chair Ronnie Bowie, to support Rhona Baillie and her senior team, and lead the Hospice Board of Directors to navigate the challenges ahead. Throughout, I will remain focused on the care which the Hospice provides for the patients and families, who are at the heart of everything we do."

To celebrate Scottish Climate Week, we're proud to highlight our ongoing sustainability efforts at Little's Chauffeur Drive.🌱

In 2022, we were honoured to receive the Silver Award from Green Tourism, recognising our commitment to making a positive environmental impact. Some of the key initiatives driving this success include:

♻️ Replacing single-use plastic water bottles with recyclable Cano Water
🚗 Our ongoing commitment to a fully hybrid and electric fleet (100% of our saloons are hybrid)
🌊 A strict no-chemical policy for vehicle washing
🌿 Regularly planting trees via Trees For Life, to offset the carbon produced by our Scottish fleet (to date: 802 trees planted, offsetting 200.5 tonnes of carbon)

Today is International Day of Charity, a perfect moment to reflect on the causes close to our hearts. One such cause is The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice (PPWH), a charity that Little's has proudly supported for over 20 years. 💙

Our connection with PPWH is longstanding, beginning with our founder George — Heather’s father — who has been a dedicated supporter of the hospice through the Rotary Club of Govan. Over the years, we’ve been privileged to contribute to various initiatives, including fundraising for the new hospice in Bellahouston Park and our involvement in the 50/10 Club, where each company committed to raising £10,000. Team Little's has also taken part in events like the Firewalk and Kiltwalk, and last year, Heather cycled 700km across Portugal to raise funds for their amazing work.

In 2018, Heather, our Managing Director, became an ambassador for PPWH, and in 2021, she joined the board, further deepening our commitment to this incredible charity. We are honoured to continue supporting PPWH and the essential work they do in our community.

On this International Day of Charity, we encourage everyone to take a moment to give back, whether to PPWH or another cause close to your heart. 🙌🏼
