Planning a visit? Some general information to make it an easier and more enjoyable experience.
Whatβs included in your Ticket? Ticket gives you access to 18 rooms in the Castle, Formal Gardens, Falconry Displays and Museum. As well as Tearoom and Gift Shop.
What time are your Falconry Displays? 11.30am and 2.30pm everyday from the 1st of April until the end of September.
Can we buy tickets online? It is not possible to purchase tickets online.
Do you offer a garden only ticket? We only offer an inclusive ticket, we do not have a gardens only ticket.

Do you have disabled access?
Refer to disabled policy. Please note we donβt have wheelchairs available for use.
Family access - for babyβs?
Pushchairs can be used around the castle grounds but must be checked in at our cloakroom when visiting the castle. Front carriers are ideal for visiting the castle NO back cariers.
Baby changing facilities are available.
Do you have an area to leave luggage?
We do have a cloakroom. Backpacks, large bags and pushchairs are not permitted in the Castle rooms and must be checked in here. There is no limit on the size or weight of luggage brought into the Castle cloakroom. However please bear in mind there is a flight of stairs to negoitate once you arrive at the entrance to the Castle. There is no charge for using the cloakroom.
Do you do guided tours? No, we donβt do Guided Tours in the Castle. The Castle is Self Guided we have information boards throughout . Members of staff are also available to anwser any additional questions you have.
Do you accept the Historic Scotland Explorer Pass or National Trust Card?
No. Dunrobin Castle is still privately owned and is not a part of Historic Scotland or National Trust. We are a part of Historic Houses members access scheme and also the RHS garden access scheme.
Can you take Photos? Yes you can without flash. The use of Drones is NOT permitted.
Can we take our dog in the Garden? Dogs are not permitted in the Castle or Gardens, except for assistance dogs.
Can we look at Dunrobin Castle Archives? Dunrobin no longer has any Archives. These are now held at the National Records office in Edinburgh.
Do you have Accomodation? No there is no accomodation at the Castle.
Is Dunrobin available for Weddings/Functions? Dunrobin is not available for any private functions.
Can we visit during the winter months? From November to the end of March the Castle is CLOSED, but it is possible to visit the grounds during this time.
Does it cost anything to Park?
No, free parking available.
Castle Museum - WARNING - This Musuem contains a large collection of animal heads, which are hunting trophies dating from the early 1900βs. Some visitors have found these offensive.
