Wellybobs Day Nursery Wellybobs is a family run nursery with fantastic facilities. We provide excellent childcare for ages Wellybobs opened its doors in April 2011.

Owned and managed by Lucy & Richard Taylor, along with Tina and Clifton Bland. Wellybobs Day Nursery is a family run business providing first class, quality care and education for children. The nursery, located in the country setting of Barnhill farm is next to open field’s and quiet roads. It is accessed by a private road, with parking spaces for our parents. Wellybobs is a Full Day Nursery with

additional After School care service. When you visit our nursery, the first thing you are likely to notice is the welcoming, friendly team and homely environment. It is this unique aspect which our parents comment on most and one which we actively encourage to help make our children feel they are safe, loved and have a sense of belonging at nursery. From babies up to pre-school children, we provide an emotional and physical environment which inspires our children to be inquisitive and explore their world with confidence, with the knowledge there is a loving, familiar and trusted adult to help them when they might need it.

Natasha whose first day was yesterday,and was welcomed into the toddler room by the lovely Megan and Mandy with a number of the toddlers.

Fabulous day in preschool!
We have used our scissor skills to decorate some valentine's decorations for preschool♥️, practiced our letter recognition forming lots of different words, we have focused on lots of jigsaws and had some chill time with the Tonie box📚

It is girls in science day tomorrow so pretoddlers have been keeping on theme for valentine's day by making love potions. Using different containers to pour and mix the colours. We also had some chocolate playdoh to play with making heart and star shaped chocolates and putting them in the boxes.practising to use different tools and to follow simple instructions.

We got a new sofa for the home corner and have been working on our turn taking skills.

The Toddlers have had a super week exploring their emotions through colour this week. Today we had coloured pasta, red fir live , yellow for happy and blue for sad. We practiced our fine motor skills using the tweezers to sort them into the correct coloureds container. Today was also our baking day this week so we made some yummy butterfly buns, and we all agreed these made us feel really happy ! 😀

I’m not sure if we are asking for trouble here with them Lotus biscuits in the entrance 😂

Please see our new ‘MEET THE TEAM’ in our main entrance on the big screen, with a ‘Have a Cuppa on us’hot drink station as your dropping off your child.

This is situated in the main entrance into Wellybobs and is free for all, in the mornings only.

We know what it’s like trying to get that hot drink in the morning rush, and all that hectic running around. Please take time for yourself to crab a drink,whether it’s in one of our cups provided or your own flask.

We are aware that Pre-Toddlers/Toddlers and Treehouse After School Club use a different entrance but sorry we just don’t have the room in that entrance. However a small walk around to the main entrance especially for them Lotus biscuits is worth it.😊

If the milk that is provided isn’t for your taste we can provide oat milk alternative. So please ask a team member.

We do hope you enjoy this new initiative

It is storytelling week and today pretoddlers have been looking at the story 'were going on a bear hunt'. We walked through the different textures from the story. Grass, flour for snow, shaving foam mud and water. At the end was a cave with the bear. We read the book and then free played with all the textures. Some of the children recalled parts of the story and they were all really involved with exploring the different textures and transporting them. 🐻

This week is story telling week so the pre toddlers have been listening to the story ,the tiger who came to tea ,we created a little food station in a tuff tray along with coloured shaving foam to make jam ,butter,and chocolate spread and a selection of other toppings using different colours and textures the children were asked if they would like white or brown bread and what toppings they would like to add to their sandwich and we also talked about the different colours of the food , they chose for the sandwich.we carried this activity over to snack and the children buttered their pancakes and chose if they wanted to add raspberries.after snack we read the tiger who came to tea where all the children sat alongside their friends and listened to the new story ..,and of course we also had requests for monkey puzzle so we read that one too.

Don’t you just love the chuckling baby talk 😊 and can you believe how calm the babies room is in the background 😊. We have had so many new babies joining us from September but how quickly the team have helped them all settling into the Wellybobs family. Massive thank you to the caring patient team in the Baby room.

Makaton
Makaton

Please see some of our previous Pre-School children ,performing a Makaton aspired song. As a Makaton approved setting we aim to continue this through our Communication lead Hollie in the setting. With expert training via Kommunikation with Sara so many of our team are Level 1 and 2 also holding level 3 and 4 in a Silver status setting.

Today at Wellybobs we are having a Polish Day. Our very own Wiktoria has taught some team members how to give us all nice warm Polish Welcome.

During the summer holidays preschool are doing a different theme each week, this week's theme is under the sea! Today we had many fun and engaging activities set up, such as breaking the sea creatures free from the ice, making jellyfish, under the sea playdough and lots of colouring sea creature pictures 🌊🐬🐙🐋🦭

Thank you to all our lovely’s parents who came to our Pre-School parents evening. It was really nice to see you all we hope you’ve had a great opportunity to talk to the team in personal one to one level. A big thank you to the dedicated too.
