Wellybobs is a family run nursery with fantastic facilities. We provide excellent childcare for ages Wellybobs opened its doors in April 2011.

Owned and managed by Lucy & Richard Taylor, along with Tina and Clifton Bland. Wellybobs Day Nursery is a family run business providing first class, quality care and education for children. The nursery, located in the country setting of Barnhill farm is next to open field’s and quiet roads. It is accessed by a private road, with parking spaces for our parents. Wellybobs is a Full Day Nursery with

additional After School care service. When you visit our nursery, the first thing you are likely to notice is the welcoming, friendly team and homely environment. It is this unique aspect which our parents comment on most and one which we actively encourage to help make our children feel they are safe, loved and have a sense of belonging at nursery. From babies up to pre-school children, we provide an emotional and physical environment which inspires our children to be inquisitive and explore their world with confidence, with the knowledge there is a loving, familiar and trusted adult to help them when they might need it.

Children in need 2024 in the toddler room! We have made Pudsey with the yellow play dough and used our fine motor skills to add coloured pom poms for his eye patch, we have also made Pudsey biscuits which will be on sale later today.

We are baking our very own Pudsey biscuits in Pre-School this morning with a number of children already getting into the Pudsey spirit.

The children have also been making Pudsey hats with Wiktoria this morning,which has been a very productive morning

We've had lots of fun in the baby room today.
We explored yellow shaving foam and splashed in yellow water. We also had a lovely time seeing the animals when on a walk 🦆🐄

The reality of a tuff tray activity 5 minutes in to it. This was a lovely farm setup, with lots of different textures for the toddlers to explore. The toddlers enjoyed getting their hands in the mud coloured gloop before covering the farm animals in it.

This week so far in babies we've explored new textures and practised lots of new skills. We've also enjoyed some fresh air outdoors and had a lots of fun looking for the ducks in the pond 🦆

For Remembrance Day, the Toddlers have been working on creating a group poppy wreath since last week.
The wreath is now complete and displayed on the Toddler entrance door, well done Toddlers! ❤️

Toddlers are getting messy this morning in the poppy gloop tray, 1 Toddler said “it’s sticky” another said it’s “prickly”, we used lots of different ways to make marks in it, we used our fingers, spoons and scoops, we then spoke about big and small when using the various tools.

Wow! Look at Preschools new signing in tree 🌳
Each child has an Owl with their name on hanging on their peg, when children arrive at nursery they will be encouraged to place their Owl on the tree representing that they are here.
On collecting your child please encouraged them to find their Owl and place it back on their peg ready for the next time they are in 🦉🦉🦉

So much fun in preschool today, we used balloons filled with paint to splat and make fireworks we used pens scissors and threw them to make the colour explode🎆 one of our lovely children brought some beautiful leaves to glue and stick with her friends too🍂we have also explored lots of activities independently and with the adults ⭐

This week pretoddlers have been celebrating bonfire night and Diwali. We have had lots of firework themed activities as well as making our own chocolate breadstick sparklers. For Diwali we made our own Diva lamps with saltdoh and Diya lamps with fingerprinting.

Sensory fun

Don’t you just love the chuckling baby talk 😊 and can you believe how calm the babies room is in the background 😊. We have had so many new babies joining us from September but how quickly the team have helped them all settling into the Wellybobs family. Massive thank you to the caring patient team in the Baby room.

Makaton

Please see some of our previous Pre-School children ,performing a Makaton aspired song. As a Makaton approved setting we aim to continue this through our Communication lead Hollie in the setting. With expert training via Kommunikation with Sara so many of our team are Level 1 and 2 also holding level 3 and 4 in a Silver status setting.

Today at Wellybobs we are having a Polish Day. Our very own Wiktoria has taught some team members how to give us all nice warm Polish Welcome.

During the summer holidays preschool are doing a different theme each week, this week's theme is under the sea! Today we had many fun and engaging activities set up, such as breaking the sea creatures free from the ice, making jellyfish, under the sea playdough and lots of colouring sea creature pictures 🌊🐬🐙🐋🦭

Thank you to all our lovely’s parents who came to our Pre-School parents evening. It was really nice to see you all we hope you’ve had a great opportunity to talk to the team in personal one to one level. A big thank you to the dedicated too.

This afternoon the pretoddlers have been enjoying water play. We added balls of different sizes and weights to watch them sink of float then used our buckets to transfer the water from one tray to another. We also did lots of splashing 😀 This activity was great at supporting their fine and gross motor skills, hand eye coordination and emptying and filling skills 🌊
