Wellybobs Day Nursery Wellybobs is a family run nursery with fantastic facilities. We provide excellent childcare for ages Wellybobs opened its doors in April 2011.

Owned and managed by Lucy & Richard Taylor, along with Tina and Clifton Bland. Wellybobs Day Nursery is a family run business providing first class, quality care and education for children. The nursery, located in the country setting of Barnhill farm is next to open field’s and quiet roads. It is accessed by a private road, with parking spaces for our parents. Wellybobs is a Full Day Nursery with

additional After School care service. When you visit our nursery, the first thing you are likely to notice is the welcoming, friendly team and homely environment. It is this unique aspect which our parents comment on most and one which we actively encourage to help make our children feel they are safe, loved and have a sense of belonging at nursery. From babies up to pre-school children, we provide an emotional and physical environment which inspires our children to be inquisitive and explore their world with confidence, with the knowledge there is a loving, familiar and trusted adult to help them when they might need it.

Last week we had our Grandparents Christmas dinners, catering and serving nearly 120 people! We would love to thank Annie's Fruit Bowl Rob Featherstone Butchers and Anna's Happy Trotters for the most amazing local produce and big thank you to Margaret and her helpers for cooking and serving such a delicious meal and then for cooking another one this week for all the children and staff.
This week we opened our doors to the preschool parents, they came to watch another two performances of the nativity! So thank you all for coming and providing costumes for your children.
Of course we can’t forget a thank you to the preschool children. You’ve made Wellybobs’s feel extremely proud, as I’m sure everyone will agree!
Through these events we raised £332 for our local charity A Shining Lightso again thank you so much! Please see picture of Mr Ryan Gardiner collecting on behalf with Margaret.

We want to wish everyone involved in Wellybobs a very Merry Christmas and we can’t wait to see what 2025 will hold 🎄✨

Today pretoddlers have been dressed in their pyjamas for polar express day. We started by taking the train to the north pole and having our train tickets stamped by conductor Hannah! Then we made some hot chocolates in the tray to practise pouring and mixing. For snack we made our own hot chocolate to drink. We added squirty cream and marshmallows 😋

Today Margaret has cooked her fifth Christmas Dinner ,this time for all the children and the Wellybobs Team who even came into the setting on their days off/ and maternity leave to join us, lovely to see you all as always.

THANKYOU again Margaret I’m sure you’re ready for a well earned rest over Christmas.

We all had a lovely Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings whilst the team opened Secret Santas NOT so secret!! presents,and received some lovely hampers. Thank you Spuds and berries for providing excellently put together gifts.

We would also like to thank all our parents for kind gifts/cards we have all received it’s very kind of you all. Ellie will be also posting a message tomorrow. So please keep an eye out for this.

I’m sure the children have had a lovely dinner too . They all seemed to really enjoy it 😊

A super first Christmas production complete,the first of the four on the agenda this week.

Our Grandparents had a fantastic Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings cooked by Margaret and served by the team.

The children did a wonderful performance. A big WELL DONE to all the children and the whole team who have organised this. So much goes into the Christmas production. Also a huge Thanks to all our parents providing fantastic costumes.

Also Thanks to all our grandparents it was lovely to meet you all, coming from as far as Kent today.

Don’t you just love the chuckling baby talk 😊 and can you believe how calm the babies room is in the background 😊. We have had so many new babies joining us from September but how quickly the team have helped them all settling into the Wellybobs family. Massive thank you to the caring patient team in the Baby room.

Makaton
Makaton

Please see some of our previous Pre-School children ,performing a Makaton aspired song. As a Makaton approved setting we aim to continue this through our Communication lead Hollie in the setting. With expert training via Kommunikation with Sara so many of our team are Level 1 and 2 also holding level 3 and 4 in a Silver status setting.

Today at Wellybobs we are having a Polish Day. Our very own Wiktoria has taught some team members how to give us all nice warm Polish Welcome.

During the summer holidays preschool are doing a different theme each week, this week's theme is under the sea! Today we had many fun and engaging activities set up, such as breaking the sea creatures free from the ice, making jellyfish, under the sea playdough and lots of colouring sea creature pictures 🌊🐬🐙🐋🦭

Thank you to all our lovely’s parents who came to our Pre-School parents evening. It was really nice to see you all we hope you’ve had a great opportunity to talk to the team in personal one to one level. A big thank you to the dedicated too.
