It is very good time to catch a Bittern in flight. As the males boom or almost croak their last mating calls, female Bittern are busy on feeding flights to provide for their chicks and will be seen regularly over the next few weeks. Swallowtail butterfly and Norfolk Hawker dragonfly numbers will peak as Black Tailed Skimmer, Emperor and Lesser Emperor dragonflies are now emerging, Hoozah!
