I had a lovely day yesterday being spoiled on Azamara Quest. I absolutely loved her!!
Who is Azamara and why choose this cruise line.....
They are the entry point to small ship Luxury Cruising.... What this means... They don't carry the huge price tag that can also go along with this status making it reachable for a lot more folk....
With only around 700 guests on board the staff really get to know you by name and your likes/dislikes.... They go out their way to ensure you have the best experience on board. I sampled this hospitality yesterday at lunch.
Azamara invites you to uncover a world of destinations at a more relaxed pace, giving you time to appreciate the landscapes, culture, and people, by day and night....
With them being a small ship they can get right into ports the big ships can't.... Take Seville for instance, you dock right in there rather than Cadiz and you could spend a couple of nights docked there so you really can have a proper city break within your cruise. Its all about the experience at the destination bringing on local cuisine and local entertainment!! Its 80% docked with 20% cruising slowly thru the night to the next place..... You have much more time at each port and this is their unique selling point.
With an average age range of 50 there is no facilities for children, it is not geared towards families. Albeit they are not adults only, children are accepted this is not a cruise line I would book families on. Seeing clients on board yesterday there was no children....
Its all included.... Drinks.... Tips.... WiFi for one device....
Cabins I found extremely spacious onboard. I sampled Inside obstructive... Inside... Outside and balcony cabins.
Food... Yes lets talk food... Wow is all I can say it was phenomenal. We ate at one of the speciality restaurants and we could of ordered the whole menu twice over if we wanted to.... I had Korean Chicken.... Watermelon and Tomato Salad.... Vegetable Ravioli and Passion Fruit Pavlova.... I d
Today I had the absolute pleasure of visiting one of the Royal Caribbean Ships docked right here in the Greenock sunshine.
Jewel of the Seas is 1 of 4 ships in Royals Radiance Class so they are all very similar to this one ....
Radiance Class ships were built to sail around the entire world. They offer among the most diverse itineraries in the entire fleet. They are on the smaller end of ships in Royal Caribbean’s fleet and offer a more traditional cruise experience than what you may find on the newest and biggest ships.
Friendly attentive staff greet you with a welcoming smile wherever you go... The ship is immaculate... Everywhere I looked there was staff cleaning, even touching up on some paint work while docked. This shows the pride they have and attention to detail to ensure it's kept in pristine condition.
All Food, Activities and Broadway shows are all included in your price with drinks packages available to pre-purchase.
We had a lovely lunch in the buffet restaurant on board which had lots of choice and replenished constantly. I did eat FAR too much but heyyyyy got to sample it right 😜.... Top notch!!
Royal Caribbean welcome the whole family on board they cater for everyone! From the adults only sections to the kids areas and the little quiet hideaways. These ships cater for all clientele.
I was very very impressed. The smaller ships are more intimate where the staff can get to know you on a personal level.... This by no means a "small" ship with on average 2.5k on board but with these super liners doubling these numbers now... she is classed small.

The service I've received from Gillian has been absolutely amazing. Super quick service, easy process and always a great range of options provided that meet with my criteria! It would take me hours of trawling the net to find an ideal holiday and even then I wouldn't be able to find the great options/deals that Gillian has shared with me. Passport renewal is taking 8 to 10 weeks just now which in normal times wouldn't at this time of year..... PLAN AHEAD don't leave it last minute to check these things‼️
‼️ Passports Expire 10 or 5 years (child) from valid from date. Your expiry date is no longer valid.
‼️ Many countries need 3 to 6 months validity on them now after travel to enter the country. Remember we are not in the EU now.
Use this post as a reminder to check your passports now. No one wants last minute panic. The world is returning to normal at long last...... Get back out there. There's a world waiting for you to explore 🥰
PCR Testing
We are going on holiday ✈🥳🙌
Yesterday we travelled to Glasgow Airport to have my PCR test completed before travel, kids under 12 is not required to travel to The Balearics or if you have 14 clear days from your 2nd vaccine. This was a really excellent set up with my results being back within 6 hours.
During these "different times" and the hoops we have to jump thru to go on holiday I have decided to post our journey and emotions to give anyone who wants to go but nervous a real feel of what it's like now to travel.
