Zanzibar - Like nowhere else!

The Zanzibar Archipelago’s sat off the eastern coast of Africa, 20 miles into the Indian Ocean from mainland Tanzania. A lot of people think Zanzibar’s one big tropical island, but there are actually more than 40 spread throughout the entire archipelago. Here, island hopping’s not just a holiday pastime, it’s a way of life. You can get out and explore what each island has to offer, before returning to your hotel on the main island, Unguja.

Zanzibar’s landscapes are like a colouring book. White-sand beaches, thick green forests, sapphire mangrove swamps and flat grasslands are all within an hour’s drive of each other. Whatever way you look, there’ll be something to catch your eye. So bringing a fully charged camera is a must.

Before tourists got a sniff of what Zanzibar had to offer, the farming of spices was the largest industry on the islands. Cyprus) I’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at the Asimina Suites in Cyprus. This five star all-suite hotel has an enviable beachside setting, located just outside Paphos. I was fortunate enough to stay in an Executive One Bedroom Suite with its own private pool and jacuzzi. This would be amazing for honeymooners or couples who are on a special trip. The hotel offers a superb range of facilities, and including two freshwater pools, an indoor pool, an Elixir Spa with steam room and saunas, and a really well-equipped gym. The food really was incredible and was a stand-out feature for me, as were the hotel staff. Always friendly and welcoming… and always smiling! The hotel is located in a quieter, more tranquil part of Paphos. UNESCO listed Paphos town is a very pleasant 25 minute stroll along the coast. This is a great hotel for couples, honeymooners and even small groups of friends looking for a luxury escape to mark a celebration. Don’t forget that Cyprus is a perfect location once other parts of the Mediterranean have cooled down. It really is a year-round destination. That’s my 2023 Travel Wrap! 🌍 Looking back on what I’ve done and where I’ve been in 2023, and I forgot how much how I’d actually done! It still seems crazy that just a few years ago, global travel was paused due to the pandemic. It has made me realise that we should never take travel for granted ✈️ From Disney World adventures to skiing in Austria… from glamping on the shores of Lake Garda to discovering new cities in Europe (Ghent is a hidden gem!)… and from island hopping in Greece to five star luxury in Corfu.
