You can enjoy snacks and meals prepared in the small kitchenette, but worry not, the village pub serving great food is located within a short walk from the doorstep. Boat hire is available from the local boatyard to further enhance your stay, you may consider packing a picnic and exploring the miles of natural waters ways. The tranquillity of the surroundings will surely create a romantic ambience, making it a perfect setting for quality time together. The surrounding local area is packed with additional activities and attractions. From here you can explore both the delights of Norfolk and Suffolk. Lowestoft with its great sandy beach, pier and traditional seaside activities, and the cultural city of Norwich for shopping and theatre. Close by is the magnificent Somerleyton Hall, where the gardens and hall are open to visitors and a must-see with 5000 acres of English estate. Beccles (10 miles) is a lovely market town with a supermarket, boutiques, and eateries, host to local market days, with fresh produce and seafood, as well as many pubs and restaurants. Remember to take your swims and head to the Lido outdoor swimming pool. Explore the traditional seaside town of Great Yarmouth for its pier, promenade, fun fair and amusements. Wide sandy beaches can be found at South Beach at Lowestoft, Kessingland and Gorleston-on-Sea. There are also wild beaches at Covethite, Kessingland and Dunwich. Southwold, Aldeburgh, and RSPB Minsmere are all within an hour’s drive.
