First visit of the season to @eastrustonoldvicarage. Less than a mile from Manor Barn and so much to see - I always come away with grand plans for my own garden - and the scrumptious cake from the onsite coffee shop is the perfect reward after a long walk around all the gardens. No dogs allowed, unfortunately (their own two wander freely around the gardens), but happily, we have some good local pet sitters.

Little snippets from when we renovated our barn. It's nice to look back on it now it's all done! I remember being so excited when we found the old doorway behind the boards complete with ancient doorframe.
The dogs camped out in our old landy whilst we were doing the work - they had the best vantage point and loved being fussed over by lots of tradies and delivery people! And did you spot the dog on the ridge whilst the thatch was being redone? He's a little bit famous in these parts 🖤

I wanted to let everyone know that we have a couple of short breaks still available over the Easter holidays, and I'm offering a superduper sweet treats hamper to anyone who books one. I've been looking back at photos in my phone. Do you remember that glorious spring during lockdown? We eagerly embraced No Mow May that year in the barn's little orchard garden. Despite the scariness of what was going out there in the wider world, my overriding memory now is of long, warm days where we were all together. Nowhere to rush to or anything urgent to do. It's made me think....isn't that exactly what we hope for when we go on holiday?
