Askrigg doubled as the fictional Darrowby in the 1978-1990 BBC TV series All Creatures Great and Small (the current series being filmed in Grassington in Wharfedale). The Kings Arms Askrigg served as The Drovers Arms in the show, and photos of Tristan, Siegfried and Helen can be found on the walls there.
