The Pumphouse is a charming family home set within a secluded wooded valley, only minutes by car from the local town of Hayle, and it’s beautiful long, sandy beaches. Formerly supplying water to the local area until the 1970’s, owners Tony & Charlotte renovated the old pump house into a stunning large family home. es four picturesque lodges with two fishing lakes, which were built & owned by Tony & Charlotte but recently sold to new owners. Inside, the original features have been preserved to maintain the building’s character on all three floors, including the original iron piping, traditional masonry and woodwork. The interiors have been carefully selected and looked after to preserve the character and style of the building. A few modern luxuries have been added to enhance your stay, for example the spacious living-room has surround sound television, a wood-burner and French doors opening onto the contemporary balcony. The light-filled rooms are fitted with TV/DVD players, hairdryers, and soft furnishings. In addition, the large en suite master bedroom is on its own floor. This delightful cottage is surrounded within its own grounds, with large private sunny garden, summerhouse with large decking area, housing the hot tub and outdoor dining table & chairs for 6. Also, at the front of the house you’ll find a raised garden with steps leading to a rotary airer/washing line. Additionally, double patio doors open out from the first floor living-room to unveil a sun-drenched balcony with beautiful views across the valley, with a reading bench and additional outdoor table & chairs for alfresco dining, with steps down to the garden. Our Nanpusker Pump House is well situated for exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall; breath-taking Cornish coastal paths and the surfing beaches of the north coast are all within a short driving distance. While the galleries, shops and restaurants of St Ives are only 15 minutes away. For shopping and amenities Hayle is only a few minutes by car, where a stroll along the tidal river estuary, a swim in the (seasonal) open-air Lido or a day on the vast sandy beach will keep everyone entertained.
