Apparently there will be a paella shortage in Spain for several months. Serious rains have inundated the Valencia paella mines and a full pump out and dry out is required
Angelo Soltano, chief executive of Valpaella SA said ‘ This is a very difficult time as we have never had a full mine flood before and whilst some extraction can be done, drying costs are prohibititive. We have heavy duty pumps on site and expect to be back to full production in time for the May fiestas’
