Hilary, Rosemary, Jasmine... I just love the gorgeous names of our next few bookings at the Allendale Bunkhouse and cannot wait to welcome these groups:
A walking holiday with friends, a family get-together, a 60th birthday celebration ... It is just a fabulous place & space and so much more than your average "Bunkhouse", set in the heart of the stunning Allen Valleys.

We still have some late winter and spring availability over weekends and school holidays, so get in touch for a quick & hassle free quote and make your get-together happen :-)

19th - 25th of February, could be booked as a midweek half term stay or a weekend stay...

1-3 March, 8-10 March, 15-17 March 2024 are all still available. There is some April availability too (The Easter weekend itself is booked though)

3rd - 6th May - The Weekend of the fantastic and busy Allendale May Fair is still free!! Life music, stalls, rides and so much more going on over the weekend - May the 4th be with you! ;-)

A wonderful river walk takes you from the Bunkhouse all the way to Jill's tea room - to make it a loop, head up onto the feels (on a minor road, tarmac under foot) above Catton and back into Allendale. There are free maps available at the Bunkhouse and we are always on hand for your route planning. Happy walking and feasting :-)

Looking for a pre-Christmas get together with friends, family or colleagues? A cosy sleepover at the Allendale Bunkhouse to get into the festive spirit? We have a bit of availability left and have reduced our prices significantly to tempt you away from your sofas and into organising a Christmas get toegther!
The Bunkhouse sleeps up to 26 guests, but equally works with much smaller groups. We have the 24th - 26th of November still free, 1st - 3rd December, 8th - 10th and 15th - 16th of December.

The Bunkhouse has access to the Manor Garden with its bonfire pits and playground, sunset gin deck (huddled in a warm blanket by the fire)..... email [email protected] to organise a good old Christmas party weekend!

Street food at the Crown in Catton...
Every Friday a different street food van sets up shop at the Crown - a beautiful 45 minute walk (which can easily be extended) from The Allendale Bunkhouse . Have a refreshing beverage while you wait and eat your delicious take away on picnic benches with stunning views over the valley back towards Allendale. 🧡

The increase in energy cost, regional shortages of chefs or a change in business model as well as less trade in the winter month have led to a reduced food offering in and around Allendale since the start of 2023. We have created a list with suggestions of where to eat out, but please do ring the place and confirm availability and menu choices, as turning up with a group unannounced may lead to disappointment. Slot 1: Friday, 17th - Sunday, 19th Feb 23 - £2190 now reduced to £1800 (£90 per person based on 20 guests)

Slot 2: Friday, 17th - Monday, 20th Feb 23 - £2990 now reduced to £1900 (just £100 extra for three nights making this just over £30 per person per night based on 20 guests)

Slot 3: Monday, 20th - Friday 24th Feb 23 - £1880 now reduced to £1700 (mid-week bargain, this is just over £20 per person per night based on 20 guests)

Slot 4: Friday, 24th - Sunday, 26th Feb 23 - £2190 now reduced to £1800 (£90 per person based on 20 guests)

The Allendale Bunkhouse has the following bedrooms:
First floor: 12
Room 1 Sleeps up to 2 with ensuite (double bed)
Room 2 Sleeps up to 4 with shower and sink only (2 sets of bunk beds)
Room 3 Sleeps 1 (1 single bed)
Room 4 Sleeps up to 5 (3 single and 1 set of bunkbeds)
There are three bathrooms located on the first floor with a shower, toilet and wash basin, for those rooms without ensuite facilities.

Second floor: 14
Room 5 Sleeps 2 with ensuite (1 double bed)
Room 6 sleeps up to 4 with ensuite (1 zip & link bed and 1x bunkbed in the offset room)
Room 7 Sleeps up to 4 with ensuite (2 single beds and 1x bunkbed in the offset room) - space for travel cot
Room 8 Sleeps up to 4 with ensuite (1 bunk bed and 2 single beds)
