Our trip to the French Riviera ๐ซ๐ท๐ด
Our baby girl was just 3 months old here ๐ฅบ
Travelling with a baby was something I was dreading as itโs something we had never done before!
I had to be so much more organised and we had to change the way we would usually travel!
We absolutely loved going away so much with our baby and showing her all the sights, is she going to remember? Nope ๐ but we sure will!
Here are my top tips when travelling with a babyโฆ
1. Arrive early - Itโs one less thing to stress about!
Prepare for SLOW travel, get to the airport or train station a little earlier than you normally would to check in, request any assistance, and board when you can.
2. Taking a travel stroller - try not to worry if you donโt have a travel stroller that folds up to fit in the overhead compartment. You can always leave your stroller at the gate, they will give you a tag and have it ready for you when you get off the plane.
Also if you have a baby carrier - Bring it! It will save your back when you have a fussy baby that wonโt go in the stroller ๐ฅฐ
3. Feeding your baby... If your baby is formula-fed and you are worried about sterilising everything for your baby, consider the following.
- Research travel sterilisers or check if your accommodation has a microwave.
Additionally, consider buying the following items:
- Milton sterilising tablets
- Microwave steriliser bags
- Pre-made milk bottles
4. Accept help from anyone you can! Although I had Scott to help, many passengers or crew members will also be willing to help a family travelling with a baby. It can be difficult when carrying lots of bags so if people ask, always accept ๐ฅฐ
5. Donโt worry about other passengers when travelling with a baby, it can be a worry about your crying baby or disrupting other passengers. While it can be tough, try not to worry about what others think! You deserve a holiday too!
