Thank you to CVSC for helping us receive an energy grant from the Gwynt y Mor Wind Farm Fund. The grant will be a big help towards our electricity bills for this year. A big thank you to Gwynt y Mor from all the members.

As there was no Senior Citz game this week, Len Wilson arranged a members internal round robin pairs competition this afternoon. A great day enjoyed by everyone with some close scoring games.
Winners: Stan Easby and Pat Wilson with 79 points
Runners up: Maureen Luke and Tony Perrin with 78 points

New bench in memory of Colin Wood a member of Copperfields for many years. He loved his bowling and also loved ballroom dancing with his wife Joyce.
Joyce and her sister are in the photo when the bench was first put in position at the Club. RIP Colin, a lovely gentleman.

It is with sadness that I inform the bowling community of the passing of John Roberts. John would have been 92 years of age next month, he took up bowling in his late eighties and regretted that he had not started playing earlier in his life. He loved the game and would be on the green practising every day in the season. He was a lovely character who will be sadly missed by all our members.

The funeral of John Dawson will take place at All Saints Church Ffynnongrowy on Friday 26 November at 1pm. John was a member of Copperfields for many years, unfortunately due to ill health he was unable to play for us the last couple of years. Our condolences to John’s family, a lovely gentleman who will be sadly missed.

It is with sadness that I inform bowlers of the passing of Ken Jones. Ken was a long standing member of Copperfields, he ran the floodlight bowls for a number of years, with the help of Glenys in charge of the catering. Our sincere condolences to Glenys and all the family xx

Senior Citz bowling league commences today. Our A team are at home to Sunny Rhyl and B team away to Penrhyn New Hall.
Good Luck to everyone. Please all follow the social distancing rules.
Let us not forget today all the people we have lost since the end of the 2019 season.

MEMBERS MEETING FRIDAY 30th APRIL 2021

Members, there will be a meeting in the grounds of the club on Friday 30th April commencing at 1.30pm. As we were unable to have our AGM in October could everyone try their best to attend. It is also important that you are all made aware of the COVID guidelines before the start of the league games.

GET YOUR BOWLS OUT

Copperfields green is now open for the 2021 season.
Would members please give me a ring on 01745 270441 as we now have a new combination lock on the gate.
I will be down at the green each day at 1.30 to collect membership fees for the season.

We will be arranging weekly internal competitions once everyone has loosened up😁😁

New members welcome. If anyone would like to give bowling a try please give me a ring and I will arrange a time, and will bring spare bowls. Any age group welcome.

Please read the notices around the green to ensure we all stay safe.

Lets hope we can have a full season.
