Our gorgeous little Hideaway has everything you could possibly need for a chilled break away - comfy double bed with Egyptian cotton linens and faux fur comforter, full sized shower room with rainfall shower, sitting room and fully equipped kitchen… and then great extras - think hot tub, fire pit, decked area with loungers, record player, bi-folding doors. A chance to truly escape reality and soak up the views of the Devon countryside by day and the amazing starry skies by night.

Winter in Devon sees some incredible light - if you’re into stargazing or sunsets you will not be disappointed. We are so incredibly lucky to live here and be able to share this with guests!

This lovely spot is about a mile up the lane from us and there is a lovely circular walk which takes around 45 mins. 🤍

Whether you are looking for quiet coastal walks, buzzy seaside shops, pebbles or sand, there is something for everyone.

It’s been a snowy one today as Milkshed became a Winter Wonderland - perfect timing for guests arriving into both The Milkshed and our Hideaway.

A Winter break in Devon is such a treat - Exeter has a lovely Christmas market and there are loads of fabulous walks locally. Or, even better - snuggle up in our properties and relax or have a dip in your own private hot tub!

Wowzers this time of year is beautiful! It’s been all change this week - clocks changing meaning dark, cosy evenings and lighter mornings, beautiful sunlight and the trees turning wonderful shades of yellow, orange and red. This stunner is in our field - the perfect spot for a walk or a morning cuppa.

Both The Milkshed and The Hideaway have their own private hot tubs - whilst many of our clients love them for stargazing with a glass of bubbles, a morning hot tub can be just as lovely. This is our Hideaway hot tub yesterday morning with the sun rising up into the sky just to the right. The only sound being the gentle ripple of water and some friendly bird song. A perfect relaxation spot!

Nothing says Springtime more than the combination of melodic birdsong and wriggling tadpoles!

Wood delivery day! Today saw our wood arrive - always a great relief as our whole property relies on this to fuel our biomass boiler for the hot water and central heating. We have planted over 3500 trees on our property since we moved here 10 years ago and these will one day fuel our biomass! Thanks very much to @the_log_store_group !

So VERY honoured to have been chosen for a proposal this weekend - our Hideaway is such a lovely romantic retreat and we designed it for switching off from screens, spending time together and stargazing in the gorgeous hot tub. Wishing our lovely couple a lifetime of love, health and happiness!!

Utterly gorgeous Devon! What a beautiful Autumn day it was today - such a lovely break from all the rain and wind we’ve had of late. This was Budleigh Salterton, about 30 mins drive from The Milkshed and it’s Hideaway. The sea air always does good!

Well, we have certainly had our fair share of rain in the past couple of days. It is safe to say that our streams are now flowing beautifully and our pond is full to capacity… it has taken a fair while after such a dry Summer but we are back on track!

Our little Hideaway is proving SO popular. We’ve barely had an empty night in there since it opened in Spring. A couple of our bookings have booked just an hour or two before arrival - including our current guests who arrived last night in the dark after booking at 5pm. We hope they enjoy the lovely views they will wake up to! If you are a spontaneous traveller, we have availability for 2 or 3 nights from this coming Monday.
