"This has completely changed my way of thinking!"

This is feedback from one of the team members who completed our Manorview Mindset Leadership course last week - and it's feedback we love to hear! The group which included team from across our venues and central support department have been building self-awareness, learning critical leadership skills, and understanding how to adapt their leadership styles to different situations. In the future there will be additional workshops and sessions as we continue to expand their knowledge and learning. Congratulations to everyone who completed the course!

Tomorrow, 24 members of Team Manorview will start our Manorview Mindset leadership course. Created to support our journey of making life better through hospitality, the team will learn core leadership skills and techniques that will help them care for others, bring their best, and always move forward. Within this group we have team from housekeeping, wedding and events, kitchen, reception and bar/restaurant, a diverse mix who will help each other throughout the next 5 months of the course. Having confident and skilled leaders is crucial in helping us become a better place to work, and we're sure this group will take away a lot from the course!

Today we’re delighted to be sharing £124,891 of profit with our fantastic team! Everyone who’s been part of Team Manorview for 12+ months is included. This year that’s 476 people receiving a profit share payment – which is about 85% of our total team. Our Heartcount Profit share is just one of the things we do as part of our commitment to make life better through hospitality. With fairness being key, the amount each person gets is calculated based on hours worked – NOT pay or job title. So, whether someone is a KP, Manager, Chef, Housekeeper or Director, the same hours means the same amount.

On Monday, 23 of our team qualified as Mental Health First Aiders. We ask our team to consistently show care for others, so we're proud that more people are now prepared to help someone in crisis or direct someone in need to the right support. We now have 55 qualified Mental Health First Aiders across our business - which is 10% of our team. In addition, all team members have free access to our Employee Assistance Programme which offers free and confidential support on a number of wellbeing topics. Well done and thank you to the team who qualified this week.

On Sunday 26th January, our venues will be closed so that we can celebrate, thank and recognise our fantastic team.

Every team member across Manorview venues will be invited to Heartcount Celebration Day – a special event hosted in a secret location. It’s set to be a brilliant day, and we have lots of surprises in store!

Our team are at the heart of Manorview. Every single person and role plays a part in Manorview’s success. Not only do they create amazing moments for our guests, they also support local communities and charities – helping make life better through hospitality.

This year the team volunteered at Manorview Foundation Community Hub in Coatbridge – welcoming local people and children to a warm and friendly place. In December, they hosted over 1,400 underprivileged children for fun Christmas parties. Through fundraising and donations, they also helped the charity support many more people experiencing poverty.

That’s why at the event, we won’t just thank and celebrate our team, we’ll also mark our annual Heartcount Profit Share – where we share 10% of the company’s net profits with everyone who’s worked here for 12+ months. It’s double the reason to celebrate – and another way we can recognise the contributions of our team.

We’re delighted to have won ‘Employer of the Year’ at last night’s DRAM Scotland Scottish Bar & Pub Awards. There were many worthy finalists in that category, and it was fantastic to have the judges recognise Manorview’s commitment to team, charity and community. We’ve been reflecting and think this could really be called ‘Team of the Year’ Award, because everything we achieve, we achieve together as a team. Well done Team Manorview! 🎉 We're delighted to be nominated for Hospitality Health Employer of the Year at the DRAM Scotland Scottish Bar & Pub Awards. The nomination is great recognition for everything we do to support the wellbeing of our fantastic team. We're honoured to be finalists alongside some other fabulous hospitality employers whose work we admire, so big congratulations to them too on the nomination. We'll find out the winner at the awards ceremony on Tuesday evening.

Yesterday we closed the venues and gathered the whole team at SWG3 for our annual Heartcount Celebrations! At the all-expenses-paid event, we gave some team updates and announced that we’re sharing £124,891 of profit with all team members who’ve been with us for 12+ months! And then came the Boozé Bingo! Glow sticks were out, the tunes were on, and the whole team had eyes down for a full house – well, with dance breaks, hilarity, games and singing along the way, of course! The energy was brilliant, and we’re delighted to have hosted yet another great event to thank our team. ‘Til next year, Team Manorview…

The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is bringing 1400 kids to party with us here! 🎶 ✨ On behalf of our charity, Manorview Foundation, we hosted magical Christmas parties for over 1,400 kids this December. We could feel the magic while they enjoyed a fun party with dancing, games, gifts and tasty food. And of course, there was a visit from Santa himself! Thank you to our team, partners and suppliers who volunteered time and gifted goods to help us make this happen. This is what Christmas is all about!
