Hello just a quick review of a gorgeous hotel we stayed at in Barnstaple last night.

The Royal and fortescue is right in the town centre and close to the river, train and bus station. You can make barnstaple your base and travel anywhere easily. There is parking available at the hotel. The hotel itself was really lovely and very comfortable clean and welcoming. There is 2 bars which have really lovely staff helping you choose your choice of drinks and even whip cocktails up they have invented. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel but the restaurant was very busy all night. We did have breakfast and this again was really tasty. It was the usual cereal, yoghurt, fruit and juice. Toast can be ordered as and when you want it and a full English buffet style along with pancakes and croissants. Tea and coffee all included.

If anyone would like to book this hotel or any of the surrounding hotels please let me know as I have good knowledge of the area and what you can do while down there.
