The Ilkey Pump House
This is how The Pump House started life the day we bought it.... it had been derelict for over 20 years or more and redundant in use from Yorkshire Water.. My husband walked our 5 dogs at the time and walked past it everyday, when one day it come up at Auction. He originally wanted the land to train our dogs as it is set in 35 acres, at the time, we had no idea what we would do with the building. As we are in the Holiday Industry and have a background of 30 years in the building trade, plus my complete passion for interior design and so “The Pump House was born” ! It was a complete family project, together with our two son’s and now our Grandson’s also enjoy the land, the Highland cows and the nature all around this little house.

The Pump House is a discovery you'll want to keep all to yourself, an old water treatment works beautifully renovated and set in 35 acres of rugged moorland with awe-inspiring 360 vistas of hills and heather, with the odd sheep thrown in……A deliciously decadent and romantic bolt hole, lovingly rescued and restored and set in a peaceful and unspoiled location. With an interior as impressive as the view outside; it doesn’t get much better than this. Perfect for honeymoons, saying "I Do" or just a romantic hide away. Blow the cobwebs away and fill your lungs with fresh moorland air on one of the many walks from your door step or you could just relax in the hot tub and enjoy acres of uninterrupted rolling moorland.
