Chapter 2024 - 🤩 Today is the day we say thank you to all of our new and returning customers this year as we have reached the end of our season!

We have had a very busy, brilliant season, meeting lots of new customers and seeing some lovely familiar faces returning! ☺️

It’s our main focus to make sure we meet all of our guests holiday expectations to the fullest and we hope everyone had a lovely stay at Pennygown!

We will re-open our doors fully on the 24th March 2025. Online booking for next year is NOW LIVE, so head to our website to see further details ☺️

We are now looking forward ourselves to jet off to find some winter sun and take the time to recharge, and catch up with some family time! ☀️✈️

⭐️ TO ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS WITH US THIS WEEKEND ⭐️

The Mull Sportive is on this Sunday!
The event is proving as popular as ever, and again we have over 400 entrants making their way to the island.

The long course (with the majority of entries) starts at 07:30 on Sunday morning from Baliscate. The shorter course starts at 09:00.
Below is a map indicating when (approximately) you are likely to encounter riders on the day. Earlier in the day and closer to the start, riders will be in large groups. They will thin out to a steady stream of 1s and 2s grinding their way up the West coast through the afternoon.

If you are heading from the North of the island for the 09:30 ferry on Sunday morning, set off when you normally would, but expect to overtake cyclists on the double-track between Salen and Craignure. If heading from the South of the island for the same ferry, please be aware that you will be driving against the flow of riders, so please allow a little more time for your journey.

The event raises a lot of money each year for local good causes, thanks to the generosity and hard work of everyone who makes it happen. First aiders, cake bakers and all the rest - thank you!
But thanks particularly to everyone on the island for being patient and encouraging on the day. The welcome that riders receive is one of the main reasons it continues to be so popular.

Cyclists are briefed not to impede traffic unduly. But inevitably with so many bikes on the road, drivers may have to wait in passing places a bit more frequently than usual, or wait behind riders for an appropriate place to pass. If you are diving against the flow, please be particularly cautious when approaching blind corners.

We hope everyone has a great day, and THANK YOU everyone for sharing the roads carefully with so many cyclists.

We are delighted to say we have The Foodie Shack returning to us on site this year for all your homemade, wood-fired pizza needs! 🍕😍

They will be with us weekly on Thursday nights apart from the first Thursday of every month starting this very week on the 28th March!

These are not to be missed whilst sitting out watching the sun go down here at Pennygown! 🌅🥰

Pizzas can be pre ordered online or here on site when with us, but don't be hesitant as these are in demand! 😍🍕
