We are very lucky to run our retreats in beautiful East Kent, surrounded by lush green countryside and 350 miles of stunning coastline, not to mention the incredible historic sights, like Dover Castle and Canterbury Cathedral.

If you fancy a last minute getaway, away from the maddening crowds, why not come and stay at one of our off grid cosy Shepherd Huts in the beautiful Denton Valley?
FOR THIS WEEKEND ONLY - you can stay in either hut for the bargain price of £140 ( for 2 nights) The price includes the ingredients for a full English breakfast that you cook yourself each day (Alternatives can be arranged)
Each hut sleeps 2 - Beatrice ( the first hut shown) has outside cooking facilities, an enclosed hot water shower and porta loo.
Hugh’s Hut (with the green door)has inside cooking facilities with an outside enclosed porta loo and an ‘Al fresco’ (but screened) hot shower.

Bedding, towels, eco friendly toiletries are all provided and both huts are fully equipped with every that you could need for a short break!

There is a picnic table, fire pit and bbq with coals, logs etc at each hut, also a
Lovely Pub, THE JACKDAW, within walking distance.

Makes a lovely peaceful and romantic getaway for 2 - or why not come as a group with friends. The Huts are in separate fields on our 20 acre smallholding.

It’s been awful weather of late - although I realise we need the rain, I just wish it hadn’t all come in one month 😉😉.
I took a look through some of my photos of the views from our fields just to remind myself how beautiful it is, mud free!

So …… as bookings have been a little bit slow, I have decided to try and jump start demand by making a special offer for the coming month…..
All two night bookings (£170) for any date in June, will include a £25 voucher towards a meal at The Jackdaw Pub, literally a five minute walk across the field. The Pub is well known for its good food and friendly ambience. Well worth a visit…..

We’d like to introduce you to Hugh’s Hut.
Our Shepherd’s hut is located at the top corner of one of our fields, set up on a hill, in the village of Denton, just outside of Canterbury. It boasts amazing views of the valley we live in.

Hugh’s Hut sleeps two, it is a lovely “off grid” hideaway on a working smallholding. The shepherd’s hut has a small kitchenette with a gas hob and a side addition with toilet and separate ‘Al fresco’ shower, this does have a cubicle and hot water!

Outside there is a seating area, fire pit and barbeque and a picnic bench.

We will provide you with all the ingredients for a full cooked breakfast, including fresh eggs from our hens and local sausage and bacon, vegetarian or vegan options are also available.

Bookings are on a minimum 2 night basis and are charged at £85 per night.
