Botanic Garden Killyleagh. Our fledgling 17th Century Botanic Garden now has over 30 plant species for you to learn about. Come and enjoy this glorious day on the Patio among the pots and visit the art exhibition and all our permanent displays. Watch out for notice of our Ice Cream in the Garden Days. Our Guest Welcome Packs showcase only local produce. This month we are spicing things up with some tantalising who operate from a small batch factory in the shadows of the majestic Mourne Mountains in County Down. NearyNogs chocolate is stoneground from ethically sourced single origin speciality cacao beans. All of their packaging is made from recycled sources and is either recyclable or compostable after use. The only thing better than all of this is actually tasting it 😋
Selah Holiday Apartment - Killyleagh sits in a prime location for exploring nearby attractions, historical houses and walks. On Saturday we made a short trip inland, away from the shores of Strangford Lough, to one of our favourite spots Montalto Estate It is beautiful in the Spring and Summertime but equally stunning in Autumn and Winter. As well as offering beautiful walks, there is also now a designated Christmas Shop🎄and of course who could pass by the fabulous restaurant - perfect for a meal or simply to warm up with hot chocolate after exploring the estate.

Here at Selah Holiday Apartment - Killyleagh, we take great care, where possible, to utilise non-toxic cleaning products, personal products and fragrance. We have had a number of guests thank us for our choice of products given that they themselves have autoimmune diseases and sensitivities that can be triggered and flared by the chemicals in cleaning products. Not only do we want to take great care and consideration towards our guests health and well-being, we are also passionate about protecting Strangford Lough. Many household cleaners cause harm to marine life, water quality and fragile aquatic ecosystems. We also try to minimise plastic by using refills. Have you ever heard of sodium percarbonate? It is a natural bleach which harnesses the power of oxygen. As well as being an efficient bleach, it won’t damage skin or clothing!!! Plus, there is no nasty pungent odour left in the air. Win win! Just listen to the fizz. Who ever said that cleaning was mundane!!! Time and time again our guests comment on how spotless Selah is - thank you! We also make our own diffuser reeds using only distilled water, unscented witch hazel and pure essential oils. Frankincense & Lavender is the perfect duo for the guest bedrooms. Why not consider the products in your own cleaning cupboard and the fragrance dotted around your own home? There is so much advice available now and a fabulous range of non-toxic products.

As there was an Autumnal swirl in the air today I thought I would linger a little longer in the perfect conditions we enjoyed on Saturday at The Quay for the Regatta. Idyllic 😎
Yesterday was such a stunning day for the Regatta. The Quay was buzzing! Selah guests had a bird’s eye view! A number of our guests have also enjoyed canoeing and paddle board adventures with - the perfect way to explore our beautiful coastline
Welcome to Selah Holiday Apartment - Killyleagh What a wonderful first season we have had since launching with Sykes Cottages in May 2022. And the most wonderful part? Meeting our lovely guests from all arts and parts - England, Scotland, British Columbia, Tennessee, California, Beijing. Selah is the perfect place to rest and catch breath. Historic Killyleagh with its stunning 12th-Century castle is also a perfect base for touring County Down and beyond. Whether you simply watch the ebb and flow of the tide from the panoramic patio, hire a canoe, hike in the Mournes, visit the many National Trust properties in the area or sample the local cuisine, you will want to return again and again. We can't wait to host you!
