Dermot Maguire is a qualified Electrician who has been in the electrical business since the mid 80's. With over 30 years experience and at the age of 50 - he has decided to run his own business having been with another company on the island since 2007. Prior to this - Dermot had run his own business in London (D.Maguire Electrical Services Ltd) which was very successful EXCEPT that he and his fami

ly decided to move to the Isle of Man. Dermot, having qualified in Dublin, Eire, in 1987, continued his working career in London (moving to London in 1989) with a job at Madame Tussauds where he eventually rose to become Chief Electrician - running the department for almost 13 years. It was then, in 2005, that he started working for himself, wishing a chance to do other aspects of electrical work, and the rest is history. Dermot has enjoyed working with his previous employers, but feels it is time to spread his wings. Dermot has a grown son, Robert and a wife, Amy (of 25 years), ..and together they have made a life for themselves here on the island; Amy running Family Manx Magazine, teaching the piano and (recently) becoming a carer for the elderly. His son is just starting out in the construction industry and is loving it.
