The Woodman Inn

The woodman is the perfect place for small and large parties, weddings and family celebration and many guests return just to enjoy our excellent food reflecting the true taste of Yorkshire in a relaxed atmosphere and to sample our first rate casked conditioned ales or extensive range of fine wines and continental largers. The Woodman Inn is an Inn, not a Hotel, we are in an ideal location for weekends away, meetings ,weddings and informal dining. Many of our customers came to us seeking accommodation in the area, and in 1997 the inn was formed out of old weavers cottages and its charm reflects it inherent character which is situated in the heart of "Last of summer wine" land. The cottages were totally refurbished, and now provide 12 fully equipped, very comfortable bedrooms. We were delighted to be awarded 4 stars status for Country Inns by both the English Tourism Council and the AA The Woodman Inn boasts the exceptionally good walking country of the southern Pennines nearby, as well as a fascinating choice of attractions a few minutes drive away. These include Holmfirth, Bronte Country, the Royal Armouries, The National Mining Museum, The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Chatsworth House, Nostell Priory, and Harewood House.
