Pergola Pitched Roof ☀️

Here we put a pitched roof on an existing Pergola 😎

What a difference this makes to the customers garden 😃 Putting a 4x2” perimeter around the inside and out of the pergola to square and level the posts of before putting the roof on. Felt Shingles were added to give the slate effect look and to keep the rain out. Also adding Gallow brackets to the pergola to distribute the weight and give the pergola integral support with the extra weight being added 🥵

Chilcomb Sage Green 🟢

Here is a kitchen we done in Dalgety Bay. The old kitchen was ripped out and the new Howdens Chilcomb Sage Green kitchen installed, with the boiler getting boxed in 😃

Aged Oak Laminate Worktops and a metro tile splashback with chrome sockets with white inserts to match tie in with the appliances and splashback ✅

Vinyl Click Dark Oak flooring put down as well 🤠 Once the painter and decorator has been in this will look minted 👌🏾

Hall Panelling 🥵

Customer wanted hall panelling to keep in with the house and what a choice that was 😎 Vestibule and hallway done with a dado rail finish at the top.

We also replaced the old facings with ogee and bead and replaced the old 145mm with 170mm Ogee skirting to keep in with the ceiling heights. Then adding timber to the bottom of some of the doors as there was a 25mm gap under some of them from where the old flooring was taken up. The hallway was then spray plastered and painted 🔨

Howdens Chelford Dusk Blue 🔷

The team at Paul Smith Joinery fitted this kitchen a couple of months ago.

🔨 Old Kitchen ripped out along with partitions to allow more space and to open the kitchen up into the dining area.
🔨 New kitchen put in, solid surface worktops.
🔨 Oake and Gray Pearl Grey oak Vinyl flooring put down.
🔨 Oak skirtings and facings put on ready for oak doors to be put on

Big thanks to Howdens Inverkeithing for putting this together, can’t fault the service.

G&C Mackenzie coming into to freshen up the paint work and finish off the oak finishings

What a kitchen 😎💥

Work was carried out alongside S.Todd Plumbing & Heating Ltd

Old kitchen was ripped out and the new Howdens Clerkenwell Gloss kitchen put in.

Waterfall worktop end was installed which just finishes the kitchen off 👌🏾

Under unit lights and plinth lights installed as well.

New Malmo Vinyl Click flooring put down as well

We would like to thank the customers for all the soup and lunches they treated us to🫡

Composite door 🚪 we done this week up in Wolfhill. The customers asked us to fit a new front door for them as they felt it was time for a change. Even though there’s less glass in the new door the satinised glass reflects more light in 😎 brightening up the entrance lobby. They also asked if we could put new flooring down, one that was more waterproof than the laminate they had down before. New skirtings and facings were put in as well 🤠

Bathroom transformation we done alongside Burleigh Bathrooms. Turning a utility room into a wet room. Putting up a partition wall with a door and window using satinised glass in both for privacy. Also fitting a window as the old sash and case one was letting in wind and rain. Malmo Vinyl flooring put down as well. It was a pleasure to work in this job 🤝

New year, New Paul Smith Joinery 🤣 this year we are going to try out Google Sketchup. This gives the customer a visual idea of what their kitchen is going to look like. We are using the basic version just now but if it takes off we will upgrade to the more advance versions. We used it today to show customers what their kitchen will/could look like and it was a success. They were able to make changes to the layout in this case move their fridge to make more space passing the breakfast bar. Then to add a island unit to prep food on. We would love to do this for every customer depending on how busy we are and how much time we have to do it. We would also like to expand to other projects such as garden rooms or built in wardrobes etc.

Another working year done and dusted!

That’s another year over for Paul Smith Joinery and we are taking a well deserved break over Christmas and New Year. From hanging countless internal doors, fitting kitchens, windows and everything else to creating even more pigeon holes in bathrooms for S.Todd Plumbing & Heating Ltd .Working 7 days a week for months without a day off it’s well needed. We are ready for next year and would like to thank every single existing and new customer that we have carried out work for this year.

Little post to say we are opening up our showroom again finally on certain days. 🙂
Since Covid-19 came in and restricted everything, we have operated only by appointment only. This gave all our clients peace of mind when it mattered most with all the restrictions applied by the govt.
In that time we have been upgrading displays and adding more to show you. 🤩
Please feel free to drop in between 10am and 5pm Wednesday and Friday this week, next week we will be open fully Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. From there we will decide how we wish to go forward with opening times and gradually we may open more often.
Appointments are still available for other days and times, and indeed on these open days we can offer appointments to give you our full attention as well!
We look forward to welcoming you soon ☺️

What A Job This Was 😎

This job was a kitchen installed in Kinross!

The old kitchen was ripped out and prepared for the new B&Q innovo handleless kitchen going back in!

Oak worktops were put in from Worktop express and sanded and oiled to protect them and give them a better finish. We also made a bespoke microwave unit to match in. Herringbone tiled splashback was done by ourselves.

The customers also wanted oak floating shelves with a groove routered out the bottom for LED strip lights to sit in. Also a Quooker tap installed with the under mount sink 😁

We’d like to thank the customers again for their hospitality and the BBQ for our tea 🫡

Bathroom turnaround 🔄

This week we carried out a bathroom in Kirkcaldy alongside S.Todd Plumbing & Heating Ltd

Old bathroom was ripped right out and the new bathroom suite was installed.

The wetwall is Concrete Satin and the feature wetwall is Federa both from BerryAlloc. We installed wetwall as it’s much easier to maintain and keep clean still giving the tiled effect.

Walk in & slip resistant shower tray was fitted alongside a Mira Digital control shower with a pan head and adjustable sliding head. New pvc Matt white ceiling panels were put up and 4 downlighters installed. Comfort height toilet and new basin unit with deep drawers for more storage 😉
