Happy New Year.
As you can see Eric, David and friends enjoyed their annual "Walk of Life" on the 1st of January with the help of a train ride on the L'aal Ratty between pubs. 😀

One short trip from the Post Office to home - I had no problem filling a carrier bag with rubbish. Very grateful for the gloves you kindly gave me Lindsay as everything was very wet and muddy. x

The front cover of our Winter issue of Footsteps features a seasonal image of the Sycamore Gap as a tribute to the untimely felling of what has become the most famous tree in the north of England.

AW loved Hadrian's Wall country. It inspired his first long distance walk from Settle to the Roman frontier and back in 1938.
