Hilkens Charismatic & Petrina Evans-Jones Last weekend, day after BS jumping, here they are training with Jane Harries a really good session.
Very much out of Petrinas comfort zone, much more at home doing SJ, but also appreciate the value of athletic flat work and how it helps the horse. Still very much a work in progress, but so much improvement.

Floyd, our young stallion starting his big boy work! Our next victim to introduce to his next chapter of his life, ridden work.
Being a c**t he has a very busy brain which need's entertaining! But still being quite young we will be governed by him and his development.

Ori, 30th Jan 2025, first time ridden since October. Petrina Evans-Jones just sitting quietly letting her follow Sparkles, enough ❓are being asked purely by hacking out and natural terrain and it's ❓.

Sunday saw us heading to a different venue for
British Dressage BD Youth for Squadding Assessment.
In the long term plan of Petrina developing herself as a all round horsewoman and not specialising too soon, this is a great opportunity to develop and log her knowledge. As her coach and mother I feel the more she can learn and take on board to improve herself, the better she will be able to pass on her knowledge to a variety of horses, rather than just focusing on improving the horse, it needs to start with us improving ourselves and understanding what we are doing.
Really looking forward to seeing where this will take us.

Well what a great first competition we had for 2025 (25th Jan)
Toddled off with 3 boys Showjumping using it as a training and assessment outing, seeing how the boys are jumping, what we need to work on, fitness, technique the way they all jumped, short and long term goals etc

TLH CHERUB (sire Hilkens Charismatic) who jumped 3 double clears, really pleased with him, so willing and easy to take anywhere.

Cadlanvalley Royal Celebration, jumping 2 double clears in the
80 and 90cm, did fab for his little legs.
Hilkens Charismatic also jumped his socks off and 2 double clears 90 and 1m, looking rather well, needs to work his Christmas dinner off 😁
Over 70 jumps jumped and not a fence down, the boys and Petrina Evans-Jones are doing a fab job 😁 won't be long before they all step up a height.
