Check your passports now!!

I have seen online that there is an increasing number of people who have booked holidays and have not checked their passport details until last minute, resulting in not being able to travel because of expired passports. 😱😓

None of my bookings thankfully because I always check this over and over again!

You will generally need a minimum of 6 months left on your passport, please visit https://www.gov.uk/guidance/passport-rules-for-travel-to-europe
and check for the country you want to travel to.

People are being urged not to leave their application for a British passport to the last minute, with demand at an all-time high.

Since April 2021 HM Passport Office has been advising people to allow up to ten weeks when applying for their passport. This remains the case.

Due to COVID-19, HM Passport Office saw a significant drop in the number of people applying for passports, with over 5 million people delaying their applications throughout 2020 and 2021.

But with international travel returning to normal, more and more people are applying for a new passport.

While there are urgent services for people who need their passport more quickly, appointment availability is limited. People are therefore strongly advised to apply early and help ensure that their holiday plans go smoothly.

Director General of HM Passport Office, Abi Tierney, said:

Now that international travel has resumed, we know people will be looking at going away on holiday and yet many people are leaving applying for a passport too late.

The summer holidays are fast approaching so if you need a new passport, we urge you to apply now.

Our dedicated staff are working tirelessly to ensure that passport applications are processed as quickly as possible.

Applying online is the cheapest and easiest way to obtain your passport.

Latest entry requirements for Spain 😎☀️✈️😍

If you have a digital COVID certificate, you no longer need to complete Spain's travel health form. Children under 12 do not need to complete the travel health form either. 🤗🤗

Other requirements remain in place. If you are travelling to Spain for tourism, you must show proof of either:
- being fully vaccinated (with both doses of a 2-dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccine). Your final dose must have been administered within 270 days prior to travel to Spain or you must be able to show evidence of having had a booster jab
- having recovered from COVID-19 within the last six months

If unvaccinated the rules have not changed.

Cyprus, Greece, Turkey and many more have also scaled back on entry requirements 😍

Please visit www.gov.uk to check entry requirements well in advance of travel to ensure that you meet all of the criteria for travel to each country, this is changing every day!!
