Actually - I booked this one from the runway during our 5 hour delay on Wednesday 🤣

One of my favourite hotel brands and destinations… Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik!

Absolutely perfect for families, this Valamar hotel offers access to the fantastic ‘Maro World’, complete with kids clubs, trampoline park, movie theatre, and play areas!

It’s also close to Dubrovnik Old Town, so perfect for exploring this stunningly beautiful city.

JUST BOOKED!

Yesterday a group of 8 clients were supposed to head off to Majorca for a special birthday trip, but unfortunately their trip was cancelled at the last minute 😢

Thankfully, we were able to get them rebooked on a holiday within a couple of hours and today they are heading to Tenerife 🤩

They will be staying at the beautiful 5* H10 Atlantic Sunset on the islands sunny west coast. With a fantastic choice of restaurants, luxury spa, and 4 swimming pools, I am sure they will have a fantastic holiday.

Friday Attitude is a charming and serene property – perfect if you are seeking a great-value beach holiday.

Sometimes a beach holiday should be stripped back to cater for life’s simple pleasures. What we love about this great-value beach retreat is that you can just read a book under the shade of a palm tree, sip on a refreshing cocktail with the sand between your toes or lounge on a bean bag by the pool in the company of family or friends. 10 days until we are jetting off again!

Every summer we visit family in Spain - my nan has had a villa on the Costa Blanca for over 20 years, and now my husbands' mum has one nearby too, so we are lucky enough to be able to stay as long and often as we like!

Having been to this part of the world dozens of times, I'm really familiar with the whole region - here's a roundup of my favourite places to visit on a holiday here.

1. Calpe - with two pristine stretches of sandy beach, and a long promenade lined with shops, bars and restaurants, this resort town ticks a lot of boxes. Wake up early to climb the famous Peñon de Ifach, or take a walk around the salinas to spot flamingos 🦩

2. Guadalest - sitting high in the mountains, this quaint medieval little town gazes over the bright blue reservoir below. Meander through the winding streets, pick up some handmade souvenirs, or just admire the view with some tapas!

3. Moraira - this glitzy little town has some of the best boutique shopping and fiestas in the region! Enjoy seafood on the harbourfront, or go for a swim at nearby El Portet beach

4. Les Fonts d'Algar - the BEST place to be on a scorchingly hot day - fresh spring water spills out of limestone karst rocks and tumbles down the mountain in a series of pools, waterfalls and streams. Taking a dip is refreshingly cool, or plunge from one of the diving platforms if you're feeling brave

5. Valencia - the ultimate city for a day trip, or longer weekend. The birthplace of Paella offers something for everyone from the largest fresh produce market in Europe, to endless plazas, dining, and beaches. Take a walk along the Turia Garden to the Science museum - a real highlight if you're visiting with kids

6. Denia - this bustling port town sees ferries jetting off to the Balearic islands several times a day, but you'll not need to catch a boat to enjoy this place. From stunning views at the Castle, to fantastic shopping and dining options, a day in Denia is packed with things to do

7. Benidorm - yes, you read it right. Yes, it can be tacky. But Benidorm offers much more than Brits abroad. The best sandy beaches on this coast? Super tasty tapas in the Old Town? Superb shopping and people-watching? It's also got a great theme park nearby for older kids.

People are constantly asking me why travel agents still exist in the age of internet and I have one simple answer. Coffee, like travel, is deluged with a number of options. You can make it yourself at home and it's fairly cheap. You know exactly what is going into it, and if it tastes awful, you've only got yourself to blame. You are not a coffee expert but it does save you a bit of money. However coffee shops, like travel agencies, exist. You are quite prepared to pay for someone else to do something that you are perfectly capable of doing yourself at home. Prices vary from store to store depending on who is making it, what size you buy, and how much the store decides their time and resources are worth. It is essentially the same product as you make at home but you are paying for someone to froth the milk, brew the coffee, wash the cups, make the cake that you decide to add on to your coffee order and clean up after you. If you want to tailor your cup of coffee to your precise tastes, you are paying for someone to do that for you, and if it tastes awful, you can take it back and get them to fix it. You are prepared to pay that little bit more to have someone else do the work for you and ensure you have the exact coffee you were after. Why do you go to a coffee shop rather than making it yourself at home every time? Maybe you like the way a certain coffee shop makes your coffee. Maybe you like the atmosphere of the coffee shop. Maybe it's more convenient than fiddling around with a coffee machine at home. Maybe your coffee shop has introduced you to a new blend or a syrup that you hadn't tried before. Maybe they have access to some really great cakes. Do you argue that Starbucks is cheaper than Nero? No, you just buy it because you like it. Travel agencies are the coffee shops of the holiday industry. Of course they won’t always be the cheapest, doing it yourself at home is always an option.
