Today is Small Business Saturday and we wanted to introduce ourselves to those who don’t know us and re-introduce ourselves to those of you who do!

🇺🇸🇬🇧I’m Lisa, an American who has been living in the UK for nearly 28 years. I founded The Yummy Yank nearly 20 years ago. My husband Ian (a Brit) aka Mr Yummy has been by my side every step of the way!

🤎We specialise in American desserts with a focus on our brownies (over 25 flavours), our cookies and cakes. Our bakes are different to British bakes. We bake differently, don’t know why but we do. Taste for yourself and you will see what I mean.

🏆We have won many awards for our bakes, including Great Taste Awards and , gold, silver and bronze. Our gold award was along side an Aldi product, which for a small business was huge!

🤎Our ethos is to ALWAYS use the finest ingredients, never compromising on quality, using only farm fresh, local, free range eggs, the best Belgian chocolate, REAL butter, pure vanilla. Our brownies never have just a topping-what’s on top is also inside and we use only natural flavourings as well. They’re big! They weigh between 120 and 160 grams!
I stay true to who I am, so our flavours and bakes are authentically American! Our cakes take me back to childhood and our Brownie Snaps cookies are like nothing you’ve ever had! Simply delicious!

💥We wholesale our products, sell online, attend festivals up and down the country and supply cafes and coffee shops.

🍫We have the greatest people helping us bake, navigating us through these crazy times and supporting us! This is our life and we are doing everything we can to keep our baby around, even after we retire or expire! I hope this is my legacy!

💜We support charities that are close to our hearts-two of them being Alzheimers and the other being Pancreatic Cancer. People who mean the world to us have been affected by these horrific diseases. Giving back is part of The Yummy Yank.

As many of you will know, we are a truly American led business - Lisa (The Yummy Yank) having moved to the UK nearly 28 years ago.

We're not too sure what all this crazy Black Friday nonsense is about, it being a day in the US when people are off work following the Thanksgiving holiday - Thursday, November 28th this year.
