'Ok let’s talk about celebrity service…

I thought I’d share one I experienced myself today….

So we’re off on holiday as a family today, and our Cathy Chapman-Travel Counsellor called round earlier this week with our little pack that we needed for travel (to save me the hassle of even having to think about checking in, printing boarding passes etc, she’d done it all and put it all ready in a little folio) but then she’d also made up little treat packs for both the kids with some sweeties for the plane and a gift card for them to treat themselves at the airport.

I know it seems like just a little thing - but it went such a long way - and it meant that today, she’s put herself and her business front of my mind, and not only that but she’s delivered a level of service that makes our relationship truly personal, sets her above any potential competition (thus ensuring I’m ALWAYS going to use her for any holiday bookings). Not only that but it means I’ll go out of my way to tell my friends about how amazing she is and recommend her when they’re booking holidays too.

That’s what celebrity service is - it’s going above and beyond to give such a high level of service that you would usually just pull out of the bag for a celebrity (and granted I appreciate that I might sit in that category now but I can tell you she was giving me that level of service long before I was ever on the telly-box!). It breeds an exceptionally loyal customer base, turns those customers into raving fans and makes them your recruitment engine.

So I just wanted to share - not only because it might just highlight to you that if your travel agent isn’t giving you this level of service then you’re missing out and you need to upgrade and get yourself to Travel Counsellors, but also in the hope that there might be a useful take home in here that you can apply in your own business.’
