I’m very excited to announce that our little team is expanding. For the Southern India tour starting tomorrow, will be joining us as the Group Leader.

Beth is an English native but a child of the world. She has been travelling and working abroad most of her adult life.

For the past 3 years she has been coordinating and assisting on tours and wellness retreats, from the UK, Finland, Spain, & Greece. Weaving together skills from the UK events industry and many years of personal travel.

Beth has been curious about way of life in India since she was a child and first came with a UK based charity Binti in 2018.

Ever since then, she has been back almost every year and spent 2 years in India during the pandemic giving her the feeling of India as a second home.

We are super excited to have you on board, Beth 💖💖

I asked Chat GPT: Based on what you know of me, draw a picture of what you think my life looks like now.

With one tour having just ended and another tour about to begin, it’s hilariously accurate.

But, I don’t use Chat GPT for India stuff so it also goes to show how much data is being tracked from our devices, social media likes/posts, internet searches etc 😂 👀

Tour of the incredible Golden Temple and kitchen that feeds up to 100,000 people every single day. After a moving arrival and soaking up the peace at the Temple, we tried our hand at chapati making alongside other volunteers 💖🙏🏻

Day 1: We started with welcome lunch and a birthday celebration. Then on to Old Delhi for a cycle rickshaw ride around the bustling market area. As people are getting ready for Diwali, the markets were soo busy, as was the traffic 🤪

Taking a trip down Diwali memory lane as my Northern India Tour: Diwali Special is about to begin 💖🪔

Tears of gratitude streamed down my face making this post, for all the lives I have lived and for what I am creating with 🙏🏻✨

2015: Kochi - Fenella and I were so excited to experience Diwali in India, only to find out it’s not widely celebrated in Kerala. So, we made our own fun: sari shopping, dressing up, and causing a bit of mischief at the hostel. I still have a hilarious video of us dancing that won’t be making it to Instagram haha!

2017: Rishikesh - Hostel life at with Akki, who arranged for us to paint diyas and light up the whole hostel. We had a Laxmi pooja before heading to the rooftop for the fireworks. Magical madness

2018: Amritsar - The inspiration for my upcoming Diwali Tour. There’s nothing quite like Diwali at the Golden Temple. Thousands of people, yet the peace is undeniable. The temple lit up with diyas, the prayers, and the fireworks—truly unforgettable.

2019: Hampi - A quieter celebration during a pre-tour planning trip. Hosted by our driver Naga and his wife, I enjoyed dinner at their home and watched the village women and kids create beautiful rangoli. Such a heartfelt, intimate Diwali.

2020: Vrindavan - My most memorable Diwali yet! After eight months in Rishikesh during the pandemic, I travelled to Vrindavan with friends. We stayed in a homestay where they treated us like family, dressing me in a sari for the Laxmi Pooja. Earlier that day, Ringa and I were asked to help with the Aarti at the Yamuna River - a true honour. The whole experience felt like a privilege and a celebration of connection.

2021: Goa - A healing, reflective Diwali celebrated at a friend’s home - a quiet moment after amidst a challenging time of life.

2022: Delhi - Celebrating in Delhi with my mum and aunty. Having just completed two back-to-back tours, I was pretty wiped out and sadly we didn’t have anyone to celebrate with! The streets of Karol Bagh were busy and bustling in the early evening with shoppers buying their last minute Diwali things but by night time, the streets were earily quiet - a reminder that Diwali is a family festival celebrated at home.

2023: Alleppey - My first Diwali tour! We brought the celebration to Alleppey with sparklers, fireworks, a Diya design competition, and even a White Elephant gift exchange—my favourite Christmas game.

2024: Amritsar - In less than two weeks, I’ll be celebrating my 9th Diwali in India. I am heading to the Golden Temple with my Northern India group. I can’t wait, and I know they’re just as excited!

Bhavana Experiences to cultivate your mind

Bhavana in the ancient Sanskrit language means to cultivate. I aim to create tours in which you feel safe and comfortable, so that you can absorb the magic of India. I hope that through experiencing India with me, it will broaden your horizons and cultivate your mind.

I have been travelling independently since 2010 and through doing so I've grown emotionally, intellectually and, more recently, spiritually. Despite being 9 years into this journey, I often feel like I'm just at the beginning. No matter how much I travel I am always delighted and often speechless when I encounter something new. One of the things that I love most about India is that I am continuously experiencing something new. No two days here are the same.

I am not ready to finish my journey and would love to share it with you, whoever you may be. Over the years, many people have been shocked by my confidence and even look up to me in awe. Some of the comments I often hear are - "How do you do it?!" / "You're so brave!" / "I could never do what you do."

I want to show you that you can. By organising group trips to India I hope that you can step out of your comfort zone without compromising your comfort. I aim to create tours in which you feel safe so that you can relax and absorb the magic of India. To allow you to do so, you will be accompanied by myself and an Indian tour guide every step of the way.
