🌟 Highlights of the Trip
Highlight 1: Cool Runnings Catamaran. Brilliant day trip where we swam with Turtles & had a beautiful lunch onboard. Great team onboard who made it lots of fun.
Highlight 2: Pebbles Beach. You can watch the race horses being bathed & exercising in the sea.
Highlight 3: Harbour Lights Dinner & Beach Extravaganza show. Watch performers dance authentic dances & enjoy All Inclusive drinks and a beach bbq.

🗺️ Itinerary
Day 1: Arrived in Bridgetown at 4pm, so transferred to The Sands Hotel where we are staying for the duration. Had a lovely evening meal at the hotel & spent an hour listening to the live singer, which was set up right next to the beach. Beautiful setting.

Day 2: After breakfast at the hotel, we spent the day on the Cool Runnings Catamaran. We stopped at quite a few points so we could swim with turtles (of which we saw plenty) & even saw some small sharks. The staff onboard were so friendly & made sure everyone had a good time. Had a site inspection at the Sands Hotel where we were staying; it’s a small adult only hotel that is located in Hastings but a 10 minute walk into St. Lawrence Gap, which has lots of bars & restaurants.

Day 3: Had site inspections at Sugar Bay Barbados in Hastings. Then onto the Mango Bay Hotel, which is the sister hotel to The Sands, where we were treated to the most beautiful lunch. After lunch, we did site inspections at the Waves hotel & also the Faimont Royal Pavilion hotel. In the evening we went to the Harbour Lights Dinner & Beach Extravaganza show, which was such a good night out.

Day 4: Today we visited Harrison’s Cave Eco Adventure Park Tour & Rum Experience. This place totally blew me away. You travel 160 feet down, getting up close with the stunning stalactites, stalagmites, and crystalline formations that adorn this natural marvel. After that, we had a Mount Gay rum tour where we learnt about the various rums & sampled 4 different ones along with some rum cake. Afterwards we drove to Zeni East Coast Café in Bathsheba, which had the most beautiful view as it sits up high overlooking the Atlantic. Dinner this evening was at the Bearded Rose in Holetown, St. James. Early night this evening as a very early morning start tomorrow!.

Day 5: Got picked up this morning at 6.15am & taken to Pebbles Beach to see the horses swimming & exercising in the water. What an experience, the sun was rising with these beautiful horses swimming. We then had breakfast at the Island Inn Hotel which is walking distance from the beach. This hotel was originally constructed in 1804 as a rum storage facility for the British Regiment . We then had a site inspection at Port St Charles which is a waterfront retreat & exclusive marina community which is located close to Speightown on the west coast. Next we visited the Crane Hotel which is the oldest hotel in Barbados dating back to 1887. The views from this hotel are often referred too as ‘The Most Beautiful on Earth’. Early evening we went to Oistins for their legendary Friday night. This place is where lots of locals go to party, they have various drink stalls & many eateries serving all sorts of Bajan delights & lots of fresh fish cooked for you. The atmosphere was great with dancers up on stage as well as lots of stalls to look around.

Day 6: Today we spent a few hours on the beach before the flight home.

🚗 Travel Tips
Tip 1: You can drink the water here straight from the tap.
Tip 2: Get out and eat locally – The food is exceptional, locally sourced & incredibly fresh.

💬 Final Thoughts
I had such a wonderful trip & learnt lots about the island. I would highly recommend all the excursions we went on as each one was fantastic.

🌟 Highlights of the Trip

🗺️ Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi
We arrived at the hotel in the early morning, so after a few hours sleep we went and visit some former street children who now work at the Salaam Baalak Trust. We learnt their stories and how they are now helping current street kids get an education and a place for them to eat and sleep. We then went for a walk around New Delhi’s markets and had a rickshaw ride back to the coach before heading to a Sikh temple where they feed thousands of people every day.

Day 2: Today we took a train from Delhi to Agra which took only a few hours, on this trip we had premium seats so got meal and drinks for free. We then went to the Redstone Agra fort and learnt about its history before watching a performance of Mohabbat the Taj. Later, we travelled to the Taj Mahal for sunset before going to our next hotel at dinner.

Day 3: We had a later start today as we were driving to Ranthambore. On the way we stopped at Abhaneri Stepwells where there were lots of singing and performances going on before arriving at Rathambore in the evening and having a tiger talk.

Day 4: With a 6am start, we did two game drives in hopes of seeing a tiger, which we did within 30 minutes of being in the park! After 2 hours of driving around, we headed back to the hotel for a few hours before our second game drive, where we spotted deer and a sloth bear.

Day 5: We took another drive today to Jaipur, also known as the pink city. We visit the city palace before having a freshly cooked dinner by a local family who also showed us how to tie sarees and turbans and answered any questions we had.

Day 6: We visited the Amber fort before having free time to look round the markets to buy some souvenirs. We then drove to our final hotel in Sariska, where we watched some cultural dancing before having a mini party as it was our final night.

🚗 Travel Tips
Tip 1: Bring sweets to give to the street children (not money)
Tip 2: Bring a cover for your head + shoulders (temples and mosques only)
Tip 3: Do not drink the tap water

💬 Final Thoughts
It was a lovely experience; we met some amazing people and went to some brilliant places. It was definitely an eye-opener seeing the street children, but they were well looked after. I would certainly recommend it to everyone, as it was a brilliant trip.
