Not sure where to turn and things are just "feeling just all to much"? Life can sometimes make us anxious, unsure and feel like we are unable to cope. I am a warm, empathic, compassionate, therapist offering you the space to be heard, the opportunity to think things through and to feel listened to in a nonjudgmental and peaceful environment. I understand how difficult it can be to talk to someone
about your innermost thoughts, fears and feelings and will support you to feel safe, accepted and trusting with me - working at your own pace. I will listen attentively to you with honesty and reflection so that you can find a way forward- no matter what is going on in you're world. The way I work is not about "doing a role" or "putting a hat on" - its about being real and genuinely offering all the key conditions of warmth and acceptance to you - to feel as valued and important- as you truly are!! I use a comfortable, private room in the city centre and I am mindful for you to feel as relaxed and at ease as much as possible. We can discuss your needs at our first session and look at what is best for you moving forwards in terms of appointment durations. We can work at being flexible around you. I have been practicing since 2010 and have worked in a private practice setting and a Leicestershire Further Education college (16+). I offer the warm, empathic, non-judgemental, genuine approach of Person Centred Therapy alongside skills and experience using Cognitive Behavioural approaches, Voice Dialogue and Mindfulness. I have worked with adults and young people with a variety of issues such as anxiety, bereavement, self-harm and relationship concerns. I have a particular interest in addiction therapies and works with clients experiencing drug and alcohol difficulties. I am a member of the BACP British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy .
