The tours take 1 hour and depart from Lincoln Cathedral, LN2 1PX.

Lincoln BIG and Stagecoach East Midlands are looking for a new Tour Guide to join the team on the popular Sightseeing Tour Bus.

This includes:
- Providing running commentary of Lincoln’s 2,000 Year History utilising the tour guide notes provided.
- Inter-act with the general public on the tour prior, during and post the tour

A Tour Guide’s shift would be a morning shift (10.30am – 1.30pm) or afternoon shift (1.30pm – 4.30pm).

Lincoln's Open Top Sightseeing Tour Bus will be starting from Northgate (Bus Stop 2) today (Wednesday 6th), tomorrow (Thursday 7th) and Monday 11th whilst the University of Lincoln graduations are taking place.

We apologies for any inconvenience.

The service will be running normally Friday 8th and during the weekend.

📢 Lincoln's Open Top Sightseeing Tour Bus is now back to operating it's normal route

The road closure of Lindum Hill (Northbound) for roadworks have now finished so the bus will be running it's usual route.

Get your tickets either on the Stagecoach East Midlands app or directly from the driver (cash or contactless payments) and discover the historic city of Lincoln!

*Temporary Updates to the Tour Bus Route*

Due to the road closure of Lindum Hill (Northbound) for roadworks from Monday 14th August, lasting approximately 2 weeks, the Tour Bus will be operating a slightly different route, with no service at St Swithins Square and Silver Street. The updated route will be:

🚌 The bus will leave the Cathedral as normal, stopping at the Roman Eastgate.
🚌 Then turn right through Priorygate Arch past the Eastern side of the Cathedral and Chapter House.
🚌 On to Pottergate then right down Lindum Hill.
🚌 Straight on at the lights, then bearing left to go under Pelham Bridge.
🚌 Straight on past the Bus and Railway Station along St Marys’ Street and into Wigford Way.
🚌 Left into Newland, then left into the Brayford stopping at the Holiday Inn.
🚌 Leaving Brayford, left into Newland past the County Council Offices on right, then left over University Bridge to view the Tank Memorial returning over the bridge.
🚌 Then straight on up The Avenue and Yarborough Road. At the roundabout at the top of the hill, right into Burton Road, past the Museum of Lincolnshire Life going straight on to Westgate, Chapel Lane, and Bailgate returning along Westgate.
🚌 Right into Burton Road and at the lights, right into Rasen Lane, then right into Newport and Church Lane.
🚌 Right onto Northgate and at the lights straight on through Priorygate Arch then right along the south side of the Cathedral stopping at Judgement Porch and back to start at west front of Cathedral.
