Join us for a mountain adventure heading to the roof of Northern Ireland.

This spectacular route from Dunnywater will have us following the Mourne Wall to the highest peak in the Mournes .. Slieve Donard standing at 854m.

We will continue on to climb Donard’s little brother .. Commedagh standing at 767m .. and return via the famous smugglers trail .. The Brandy Pad 🥃.

Please don’t hesitate to come solo .. you won’t be on your own for long.

A Place To Relax

Plum Tree Cottage is a self-catering location where you can come on your own, as a couple, with family or friends. Sleeping up to 6 people across three floors, in 2 double beds and a sofa bed. During your stay, you can make use of the Sauna, BBQ Hut, & Gym, and relax in your own patio area and gardens or choose to mingle in the main garden which is shared. All grass areas are artificial so it’s great if you like to be a bit active and kick the ball about, practise your putting or play a bit of badminton, or lie down and read a book, whatever your fancy, you are avoiding the muck.

We are surrounded here by numerous golf courses and lovely restaurants, close to Belfast City Centre and for further sight-seeing, great links to the Motorways for day trips to the Causeway Coast, Mourne Mountains, and the Ards Peninsula. Plum Tree Cottage is a great base for your stay in Northern Ireland. We look forward to welcoming you and hope you enjoy your stay.
