โญ Next stop, Kandy. This busy city gives you time at leisure. Your driver can take you to explore the local market or maybe head to the Botanical Gardens or a visit to the Temple of the Tooth. Your hotel is just outside the city, with a peaceful riverside setting.
โญ Your next destination is Nuwara Eliya, in hill country, but you won't be driving there. You will travel by train on a scenic journey through tea plantations and verbant forest. You will soon see why this is considered one of the most scenic rail trips in the world. You will be travelling in an Air-Conditioned first class carriage and lunch or afternoon tea will be served.
When you arrive into Nuwara Eliya you will transfer to your hotel, a colonial-era mansion house. You are close by the local golf course, if you fancy a game, or maybe book yourself afternoon tea on the lawn. Talking of tea, the following day you will get to experience Ceylon Tea in its purest form, heading into the fields to witness tea pickers selecting the very best leaves, returning to the factory to see how the crop is harvested and learning from knowledgeable guides everything you didn't know about tea. Of course, there is sampling to be done and the opportunity to buy some gifts for people back home.
