The July 2024 newsletter is out!
As mentioned in the last newsletter: Liverpool Eco Tours ltd is the tour company I own and operate, Dale Liverpool is a brand name for any non-eco tour solution I offer... Including my services as a guide for any company.
Since the last update I've worked with new partners, expanded the operation with more bikes and equipment and started to branch out further with new opportunities - alongside seeing plans that were a long time in the making come to fruition.

The City&Beatles Tour and City&Football Tour are on Electric Bikes - we provide the bike. If you’ve never ridden a EBike before, we will teach you how and keep you safe.
It’s not hard, all it does is takes all the effort of hills out of riding! With us being on bike, this ensures you see a lot more of the city than you would do on foot or in a vehicle.

Liverpool Eco Tours are now residents of The Baltic Triangle!
It fills us with pride to announce that you can find us in the great location of Northern Lights, behind the Baltic Market.
Bike and car parking directly outside the door, right next to a huge collection of some of the cities best bars and food vendors - it couldn’t be a more perfect location to start and end a tour.
Add in that we are in the same building as Ryde cafe, we couldn’t be happier with the location and with our neighbours.
We are still getting ready, setting up and we will be ready to roll in a couple of weeks - keep an eye out for our tour listings which we will be announcing on here very soon!

I’ve taken my time to post about this because I’ve struggled to find the words to express the pride felt in the Liverpool FC Academy and the pride I feel working with them.
Such a great group of lads, who have always blown me away with how engaged they our when I talk to them about our city, our history and our people. It’s no surprise to see them bursting into the first team and winning trophies against giants of the game - they all have bright futures ahead of them.
The unsung heroes are the guys at the academy who work every day with these lads, training them and educating them about what it means to play for Liverpool and represent this city - Ted Smith, Caitlin, Andrew and all the other members of staff who do such an incredible job, they should feel proud about what they have achieved, a lot of work goes into what they do.
Jurgen Klopp said how this trophy meant so much more to him, we can all say the same in this city - the pride we feel in homegrown talent means the world to the people of Liverpool.
Seeing Jayden Dann’s singing You’ll Never Walk Alone at the top of his voice after winning the cup this weekend filled me full of emotion, knowing that just a few months ago he was on a tour learning all about how the culture of Liverpool at the time led to You’ll Never Walk Alone becoming such a famous anthem. My eyes filled up, singing it with them back at home.

Today would have been George Harrison’s 81st Birthday!
February 25th is the official birthday of George Harrison, but George told Billboard magazine in Dec 92’ that his birthday is actually Feb 24.
George was born shortly before midnight, but his birth certificate states he was born after midnight, on the February 25.
During the Second World War, in 1941 Britain adopted British Double Summer Time, which saw clocks being put forward two hours ahead of GMT. The clocks were turned back to GMT at the end of summer 1945 - the error was probably to do with that and confusion with midwives who were delivering babies out in the community.
Regardless of 24th or 25th - we miss you George.

It’s been a very busy January of building and early February has proved to be the same - soon we will be announcing the tour schedule for the next few months, taking us all the way up to summer, which we feel is going to be off the charts busy.
The tour schedule will include plenty of Beatles, City and Football walking tours & bike tours - something for everyone! We can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store.

It’s 2024 and these four working class lads from Liverpool are still winning Grammy Awards. There will never be another band like them.
Finally, the last day of January!
What a month it has been, Jurgen Klopp announced he is leaving Liverpool at the end of this season, our city has been dubbed the 7th best city in the world to visit and multiple tour companies in our city are reporting record breaking visitor numbers for January. Oh, and we’ve had lots going on at Liverpool Eco Tours too, we will start announcing more on here in the near future.
With the fallout from last years Eurovison still to come, if Liverpool win the league and have a trophy parade, I don’t think there will be a year to compare this too, it’ll be a summer like we’ve never had before!

Rock and Roll history is my passion and there is no denying that it belongs to the black communities of the United States... But it's history goes deeper than that. Over half of the enslaved people transported across the Atlantic were on ships from Liverpool. So when The Beatles open the gates for the British Invasion in 1964, they're selling a form of music that only arrived in the USA on ships that were built and set sail from their home port.
