Well after 4 days with no electricity, WiFi or signal we are fully back up and running. Thank you so much to National Grid for working tirelessly to get everyone back on. Not all hero’s wear capes but these men and women certainly deserve the recognition for their work.

It’s been so lovely to reconnect, recharge and refocus on the important things.

An appreciation post to the ‘behind the scene team’

I’ve posted in the past about my appreciation for all the local businesses and wonderful clients who have supported us along the way, but there are three people who need a massive shout out.

This amazing trio are the ones who push me on, support me and even come along for the ride on (as long as there’s a food incentive)

When you support small businesses you’re supporting families like mine. The bonus of having my own businesses has meant more time spend with my family, more memories being made and more fun together. And none of those things would be possible without our amazing customer base.

I will always be grateful for the ongoing support from clients, colleagues, friends and other businesses, but the gratitude I have for these three is out of this world. 🌍

As part of our Bio Hazard training we learnt about the dangers of mould and how to remove it safely. Although Awaab’s Law targets social housing landlord it is something that may affect us at some point for a multiple of reasons.

Why I love my job…

✨ I genuinely love cleaning, making a house clean and welcoming for its owners has an amazing feel good factor. A lot of our clients have business themselves/ or work long days if we can take one thing off there hands to ease some stress then we’re happy to help.

✨We often get jobs where an individual has become overwhelmed with things and the house work has gotten on top of them. Sometimes people just need an extra helping hand to get on back on track, we never judge or criticise we’re do our job with compassion and empathy. These are probably my favourite jobs as they are the most satisfying and rewarding.

✨I do really enjoy it, cleaning is very satisfying and the end product is always better then when we started, it’s not just the cleaning it’s the connection we make along the way, some of my clients have been with me from the beginning, they’ve been a part of our journey and like wise we have been a part of there’s. We’ve laugh, cried and supported each other through the ups and downs life throws our way.

A day in the life of….

Well that made for an interesting morning. Safety first every time, all cleans cancelled and a work from home day today. I might physically not be out cleaning, but I will be booking in the Christmas deep cleans, responding to message and email and finally might even fold and put away that never ending laundry pile that I’ve been turning a blind eye to. Or I might put a Christmas film on and ignore it for another day. Hope everyone’s okay and staying warm and safe. ⛄️

Hi All,

Just thought I’d pop on and do a quick introduction and put a face to the business.

My name is Fiona and I am the proud owner of Cardi Cleaning Services Ltd. I started as a sole trader back in 2022 and since then have become a limited company and expanded our services from holiday lets and domestic, to commercial and very recently bio hazard cleaning. Prior to this, I work for 12+ years as a community carer, I loved my job and the connections I made with people along the way. Having the privilege of working within the care sector gave me a greater respect for life and how short our time can be. Which is why when COVID hit and the stresses and strains that came with it, I made the decision to try something new, and guess what I’m never going back!

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 My family, I couldn’t be without them, they mean the absolute world to me and give me the strength and encouragement to keep going

🎄I’m obsessed with Christmas, the Christmas tree goes up far to early if you ask my husband but who doesn’t love those twinkle lights

🌊 I love the sea, luckily we live close to so many different beach’s I’m spoilt for choice

🌺 My garden, this is my sacred space for me to take a breathe, and reflect and relax, everyone needs a happy place and this is definitely mine

My goals for the future are to grow my business to the next level, to continue with our 5⭐️ rating and delivering the services so many of our customers have already received.
