Llandysul Fire Station

Llandysul is a small town in the county of Ceredigion. The community of Pont Tyweli lies directly across the Teifi River in Carmarthenshire. There is little industry in Llandysul, and therefore relies on tourism, the Paddlers Canoe Centre and the excellent fishing opportunities on the river Teifi to sustain the local economy. The main turnout area extends from Talgarreg in the north, Alltwalis in

the south, Llanllwni in the east and Henllan in the west. A large part of the area lies in Ceredigion. The main risks are the Gas and Oil storage depots of West Wales Gas and O J Williams. There is a network of A and B class roads throughout the area and a new by-pass which links Carmarthen and Aberystwyth and other small villages and towns.
