The island's prime minister has proposed the scheme as short-term travel has been made more difficult by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Who can't wait to travel again?

Barbados is now Covid-19 free but what does this mean for travel?

From mid July BA will resume a weekly flight to Barbados from Gatwick with Virgin following from the 1st Aug from Heathrow. In addition holiday makers returning to the UK from Barbados will no longer have to self-isolate for 14 days.

Any holiday makers travelling to Barbados will be required to take a Covid-19 test within 72 hours prior to departure which must be certified by an accredited lab.

Happy World Ocean Day!! 🌊

Did you know Barbados is currently home to the second-largest hawksbill turtle nesting population in the Wider Caribbean, with up to 500 females nesting per year?

Over the last century, sea turtle populations have significantly declined. It is estimated that only 1 in every 1,000 hatchlings will survive to adulthood, which is not reached until 25-30 years of age. It is only then that turtles can begin to reproduce.

These beautiful creatures are reliant on our help to protect the oceans and their habitat, through environmental efforts and conservation work such as the wonderful Barbados Sea Turtle project. This not for profit organisation has been involved in conservation of these endangered species for more than 25 years.
